    The ear molds were not usable. I understand they were custom made, but Tinder Krauss never delivered a satisfactory product. I have since returned to using my previous devices. Please see the attached letter, for which I have not received an answer from Tinder Krauss.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I am responding to the complaint filed by *** ***** ********** wherin he requested a refund on custom made embedded receiver ear molds we made for him.  I saw that he is aware that the hearing aid manufacturer does not offer refunds on custom made receiver molds.  We have in his file a sales contract that he signed that states there are no refunds for custom molds. Having said that, we probably ought to state for the record that when a patient opts for using the hearing benefit offered by his insurance company, we are limited to certain brands that they will allow hm to purchase.  Sometimes those particular brands or in some cases the particular models they choose are not the best quality available on the market today.  So, we deal in limitations sometimes, dictated to us by the patient's own insurance company.

    I do understand the frustration that *** ********** must be feeling.  As a gesture of good faith, I am willing to refund the fee that he paid on the custom ear molds even though we do not have an option to return them to the manufacturer.  A check will be mailed to him this week.
