    I am going to provide all the facts here for patients that are suffering from pain. I am 33 years old and have gone through so much suffering of back pain since March 2023. I had a DRG stimulator put in for knee pain due to an accident and right after the surgery I experienced the worst low back pain of my life! I highly suggest to not have this stimulator put in unless you want to suffer from other problems that you didn't have before. Shawn M******, MD took great care of me up until after I had the DRG stimulator put in. After, I had the permanent placement done he stopped treating me with care like before. I had a diagnostic nerve block done today 8/29/23 for my low back and asked if he was going to be doing anything for my pain in the meantime until he found out the root cause of the pain. I was made to feel and look like an addict and was told that due to my age he doesn't prescribe opioids. Fine I respect that but then why was I ever prescribed them for my leg?! My point with all of this is if you are of older age in his words "a grandma close to dying", or "a cancer patient", then he could not do anything for the pain. This makes no sense to me as a doctor you pledge to take care of your patients regardless of their age. By the time someone needs to see a pain doctor their pain is serious and they want it resolved. Save your time and see another doctor who cares about you.
