      On 5/26 AIC sent a quote for work on my roof including a leak fix and siding repair for a chimney that comes out from the roof. I agreed to the work via documented email on 5/30. On 6/16, I sent texts inquiring when they would start. On 6/25, they texted asking if they could start the next day. I agreed.

      They did arrive the next day on June 26 but left without doing any work, their workers said they wanted harnesses. I was specifically told by the AIC representative on-site they would be back within the next week or week and a half to complete the job and honor the quoted price. That was a month ago. When we began to inquire why they hadn't returned or reached out about coming back, they said (today) they need to charge me an additional $1750. Almost double the agreed upon quote.

      It is my understanding after very easy research, an agreed on quote is a binding contract. Not to mention they have now wasted 2 months of my time.

      Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for the delay in completing your work and for the poor communication regarding the issues we ran into accessing the work area.  Getting your job completed as soon as possible is a high priority for us, and we will get this matter resolved.  
      Your job was placed in the production queue after receiving your approval on 5/30, and due to the busy season, our backlog was about 3-4 weeks.  The work was scheduled for 6/25 and we came prepared to perform the work.  However, after getting set up the workmen found that they would not be able to build an access platform as originally planned.  In order to complete the job a lift will have to be rented, and we should have done a better job in reporting this back to you.  Ultimately, this situation was made worse by our failing to provide timely communication regarding the need for a lift.  We acknowledge this was our mistake and will complete the work, as quoted in an effort to make this right.  We apologize for the delay, as well as the frustration that our communication issue caused.
