  I attended my tax appointment on March 29, 2023,after 6 weeks (first inquiry to them on May 9, 2023) + another week of phone tag, found out my taxes were not actually filed until MAY 10, 2023. I was never alerted to this delay and to my knowledge they never filed an extension to file late. I have never been given a reason why they were filed late. 2 weeks after I first contacted them with questions, and after emailing, texting and speaking to 2 different people, I still did not have any answers as to what went wrong, in fact the people I spoke to couldn't remember why I was calling after speaking to them numerous times. My state return has the incorrect deposit information on it and for 2 weeks I asked for it to be corrected and the corrected document sent to me and I still do not have it almost a month later. They have documented $633 in fees to do my taxes and never disclosed the fees to me during my appointment, nor is a fee schedule in my documentation or on their website. After a conversation with the owner, I was told they charge per page filed but still have had no fee schedule disclosed to me. I am also being charged fees they advertise on their website that they DO NOT charge for- ie. e-file fees and state prep fees. I asked to speak to the owner of the establishment and still had not heard from her as of May 19, 2023. She did finally reach out to me days later to offer a $100 refund on my tax fees that I could either receive via cash app, or pick up at her office on new circle road. She did not want to put it in the mail to me saying it would take too long. After receiving my tax returns I am now missing $778 from my Federal tax return and $15 from my state tax return. I have asked her to email me the reasons for this and she refuses despite having emailed me my tax documents twice claiming it is sensitive information and against their policy. I reached out to the state board of accountancy but they cannot do anything & am considering filing theft charges.
