I purchased a two-way radio from Federated Communications, which didn’t work in my area. I never received my entire order (shoulder mic was NEVER sent). They admit it wasn’t programmed correctly. I returned the radio in early July, as of today (9/8/24) NO REFUND! They REFUSE to refund my money.Business Response

We attempted to work with this customer to resolve a manufacturer programming error. However once the error was corrected, the customer decided to cancel the order and he requested a refund.
We issued that refund on 9/8/2024 * ********* to the card ending in **** for the amount of $506.84 in which he used to purchase the original product. Therefore we have exhausted all means to satisfy this customer. I have attached proof of said refund.If there are any further questions, please feel free to let me know.

I purchased a radio over the internet from Federated on July 15, 2024 for $331.94 and it still has not been delivered as of today. I have tried to contact them by phone on several occasions and only can reach their “customer service”. I keep being told that the owners are not there, or the radio will be mailed “next week”. Around Aug. 8, 2024, I told customer service that if my radio was not mailed to me that I wanted a full refund of my money. Of course they never refunded me my payment. The owners of this company continually ignore me and have not been willing to refund me what I paid them on July 15, 2024. I would like to have the radio (since it’s needed for my business) or refund me the full amount.Business Response

The product purchased was on Back Order. We now have a shipment coming and they will be in on Tuesday 9/10/2024. We will be programming the radio to meet the customer's needs and send the radio out to the customer later this week. I have spoken to the customer on 9/3/24 @6:08pm and explained what the situation is and he is now aware and ready to accept the purchase.

This company sells and provides radio dispatch services for security companies. We placed an order on March 30 of 2023 for one single radio with the understanding from the owners that we would be able to add additional radios to our network which they created a private channel for us. Allowing us to communicate with each other via radio nation wide. Upon submitting order they took a credit card payment of $584. It took over a month for my order to be delivered, after calling multiple times, and being told the issue was a shortage in SIM Cards to program radio. Once we received the first radio we like the service with the dispatch and ordered 2 more radios in order to be able to communicate with other staff members within our company. To date we have called company over 20 times to check the status of our order. As if 7-24-23 we have not received our order and filled disputes with credit card company which funds have been returned to us. The original radio, still in perfect condition was returned today with tracking information along with an email, requesting the monthly service be terminated immediately. This company has lied to us on multiple occasions has failed to return any phone calls with the exception of one during the initial order. Multiple emails and text messages to the owner. we have records of all this. We are requesting the Better Business Bureau step in to resolve this with a refund of the equipment in the amount of $584.00. For the cost of the equipment. This equipment is electronically locked by Federated communications and cannot be used with any other dispatch company. Once resolved we will withdraw our online complaint.Business Response

This is the response from Federated Communications regarding the complaint filed by *** ***** ******* *** ****** purchased a portable radio and should mic from us on March 30, 2023. (see attachment 1) After a delay from our distributor, at no fault of our own, *** ****** received his radio and mic and began using same. He communicated with our dispatch center during the course of his duties as a Tennessee State Constable and as a security company. Two of *** ******** co-workers placed orders for radios and mics on May 20, 2023 and June 5, 2023. Due to a supply chain issue, we were not able to immediately send the merchandise out and advised there would be an undetermined wait on the backorder of radios. After waiting some time, *** ******** co-workers requested to cancel their orders and for a refund. While the refunds were being processed, both gentlemen disputed the charges with their financial institutions, therefore, we were unable to issue refunds at that time due to the disputes. We did not challenge the disputes and both gentlemen received full refunds from their purchases. Upset about this situation, *** ****** sent the radio and mic he had purchased months earlier back to our office demanding a refund. (see attachment 2) Our general policy is we do not issue refunds on products after 30-days. *** ****** was in possession of his products in excess of 30-days. However, we have elected to issue *** ****** a refund after this complaint is resolved. Our goal is for customer satisfaction and if *** ****** was unsatisfied with our product or service, we will grant his request for a refund. We acknowledge we were unable to get *** ******** co-workers their radios in a timely manner, which is why *** ****** became unhappy with our company. This was at no fault of our own, however, our customer's satisfaction lies solely on our shoulders. They have also billed my Credit Card for another month of service that I have communicated to them via a letter and email that I do not want their service and to cancel my service. There is a link to manage your account on their website however it does. Not work. and I am unable to do anything other than view orders.

It appears *** ****** rejected our response to his complaint. We have since then refunded his money in full and he has returned the product originally purchased. Furthermore we cancelled his subscription and refunded his money for that as well.As far as I can tell, we have complied with his requests and there is nothing further we can do to assist him.

Better Business Bureau:I replied to the comment stating that we had reached a favorable out come and wished to drop this complaint business has refunded my money and we have agreed that this issued was based on poor communication due to an employee I was made aware that that ‘employee who was handling customer complaints has been terminated and ownership has taken that position back over Ownership reached out to me via email and expressed their apologies and explained that refunds have been issued. I am happy with the final outcome
