      Poor vehicle maintenance of any kind let a lot of things on my car wrong from oil change

      Issue:
      Oil pan drain plug stripped. causing oil to leak.
      Manager Response:
      It was already that way.
      Was not told to me when I got the oil change it was stripped.
      Cost to repair:
      180.74 at my mechanics
      Frustrations
      1. Did not give me paperwork with correct address. I did not notice that until I pulled the receipt out of my glove box.
      2. Initial call to Valvoline was told they would contact me 48 to 72 hours. All contacts were made by me.
      3. Follow up call I was told that my information was updated. Last call (4th) it actually was updated. This is after the manager from the store "attempted" to contact me. Obviously he called the wrong number that was supposed to have been updated on first and second call.
      Critical Issue:
      Whether they stripped it themselves or not. They "took" my money did the service knowing this could cause critical damage to my vehicle blown engine, Was not notified on invoice if this was a prior issue. Oil Drain Plug -Checked OK is what was on invoice.
      Solution from customer service: after 4th call: refund money for the oil change. 46.63. still out $134.11... they know its just a complaint the money is not worth my efforts to fight to get.
      My cost to get their Service:
      1. $180.74
      2. My time
      3. loss of use of vehicle for repairs
      At least I got my 46.63 back
      for transparency: they did it was stripped before I got there, did not tell me still did the oil change. Said they have a video of the service, protects them, but don't tell the customer... how true that is I don't know but will take at face value from manager.
      Valvoline Westport Road... do not go, extensive wait times, not enough employees.
