    My 15 yr old son ordered a set of new cranks that were almost $100 out of money that he worked very hard for. He installed them and then installed his new pedals on them, all under my supervision. Took the bike around the block and by the time he got back the crank arm had stripped out where the pedal attaches. Contacted customer service and they told me that because it was not professionally installed that they would not warranty it. Pretty sh*tty if you ask me considering there is nowhere on their website that states that. Planned on spending a couple thousand there to build a show bike but will go somewhere else now.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it is when something goes wrong with a new purchase. Unfortunately, our warranty policy does not cover damage caused by user error, such as incorrect installation. We advise to all customers to have parts professionally installed if they are not experienced or confident in doing so. We're sorry this led to a negative experience, and would love to discuss alternative options to resolve this situation.     I have pages and pages of emails stating that this company was going to help me fix my kids bikes. I have bought two bikes from company not even 8 months ago and both bikes do not ride! They asked me to take into a bike shop to see problem and they were wanting to help with issue only to come to find out that they say they are not under warranties and it is due to poor maintenance! My kid is 10 and his second bike purchased through them he can’t ride because it is too heavy and every time he tries to ride it the sprocket comes loose where we have to tighten it each time he tried to ride it. I have pictures and videos of both bikes and the issues for them to tell me they can’t see what was going on in my pictures and to take to bike shop to clarify the issue! By the way the bike shop seen the bent rim in the picture I gave to Source bmx! Source bmx will not fix the problems with there bikes and I’m stuck with two bikes that don’t work! They also do not take any bikes back that you put together just a head up! They didn’t give me a seat clamp with one bike but that was on them so it was not a issue in receiving their mistake free of charge! I email to let them know the bike is too heavy for my kid to ride and they said if the bike doesn’t look like it has been assembled that will be the only way I get a refund?!? How are you supposed to take apart a bike to look unassembled?!?! Worst customer service ever had! Run and run fast plenty of other bmx stores to go to without issues! I will upload all emails regarding these issues so you can see first hand the service that was given. By the way when I called the bmx store the polite man who answered told me no problem he would get this all taken care of only to get emails from then on out to be told NOPE nothing they can do!

    Our team carefully reviewed the information and images you provided us, and unfortunately, the issue you’ve described did not fall under the coverage provided by the warranty policy of the brand or our store. Rider abuse/crash damage (The dent in the rear rim), and any issues arising as a result of incorrect adjustment/maintenance or lack of (loose cranks) are sadly not covered under warranty and not viewed as a manufacturing defect.

Although this particular issue is not covered by warranty, we have offered to you a non-profit sale for replacement parts as a token of our appreciation for your business, and this offer will remain open to you in good faith.
