I entered into a contract with Slugger City Services on September 10, 2024. A 4 car framed garage was to have the old roofing tore off and an existing attached metal roof carport was to have the old metal removed. The roof for the carport was to be extended and tied into the roof of the garage. All decayed wood was to be replaced then new shingles installed on both. Also, the garage was to have new vinyl siding with all trim covered in aluminum. This project is located at **** ****** **** *********** ** ***** and is a rental property that my brother lives in. My brother recommended Slugger City Services whose business was across the street from the location after talking to the owner. When the job was winding down I made the mistake of paying in full the amount of $13,000.00 since there was but one board to trim out and one 2x6 decayed board to replace. I felt I had a trusting relationship with the owner by the time job was finishing and was told it would be taken care of. I have since had numerous calls/texts assuring it was going to be taken care of. I have saved the texts with the last being sent 11/19/2024. I understand that the business has now moved and don’t feel I’m being dealt with truthfully. I don’t understand why such a small amount of finishing up a project would ruin an otherwise good relationship. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello. I want to extend our deepest apologies to *** *****. We think highly of *****.

**** had talked to *** ***** on the date that *** ***** provided. **** had told him that I was just in a bad rollover accident on 264 and that we were in the process of moving. *** ***** told **** to come and finish the job when we got settled into our new home.

**** had told our guys that worked on *** *****'s home that they had to go finish, but they told us no. They went on to tell **** that *****'s brother Tim started drinking from the time he got up until they left. Apparently, he said some things to them that made our guys very uncomfortable. With their refusal to go back, **** plans are to go himself. On Dec. 10th my father passed away in NC and that has delayed **** in going sooner to finish the job. We do plan to get to *** ***** finished this week. Sorry for any inconveniences.
