We purchased a new home in April of 2021. The home has a covered front porch. The concrete porch was poured in below freezing temperatures so they covered the concrete with some kind of blanket. As a result, the porch was horribly discolored. We informed the foremen of our dissatisfaction with the porch (among many other issues) but today our biggest concern is how awful the porch looks. The previous foremen, **** *******, kept putting us off, but also telling us the porch would be fixed. Then it was winter again, and **** told us the porch would have to wait until the spring (2022). We went to Florida for the winter and part of the spring, returning home on April 28, 2022. I texted **** on May 16, saying it has been a year and we are still waiting for our porch to be resolved. Then we were told **** quit about that same time and we should address our concerns to *** *****. *** came by and looked at the porch and told us he would look into it. On August 16 I reached out to *** again and he apologized for running behind but he had a contractor in mind that could possibly do the work. On August 30 I reached out to *** again and told him we were leaving town on September 20 and I wanted the porch done by then.
On around September 14 *** came by with a contractor, **** *****, to say they would stain the porch a brown or tan color. **** said he couldn’t get to it until after September 20. Then we came home from vacation to a porch and sidewalk that had been painted a sky blue color. We were very upset about this. I reached out to *** and the builder, **** *******, about how awful our porch looked and we wanted it fixed immediately. Since then *** came by with 4 other paint samples for us to choose from. We told him paint was unacceptable and we wanted the current paint removed and our porch stained or they could rip out this porch and pour a new one. We have been told by *** that **** ******* that a new porch “is not an option “. **** hasn’t responded to any of my texts

    Business Response

    Date: 12/16/2022

I had already spoken to the Homeowner: Mr. ** ****** and agreed to re-stain his front porch and sidewalk. He and his wife are going to Sherwin Williams to pick a color out and have agreed to wait until the spring to have the work done. The weather is not ideal to be applying the stain and customer has agreed to wait.
