    WARNING: DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES
    We recently had a grate, logs and embers installed. The work was fine. We’re happy with it. The business practices, however, leave much to be desired. I never received a detailed estimate. Work that was not needed during our install wasn’t removed from final billing. And despite requests, I never saw/reviewed the final bill. The installer was googling instructions at one point. I’m sure there are other like businesses that provide more cost efficient service with better customer communication and documentation. Bright spot: Dakari, the install manager, is fabulous. He is the one stellar person we dealt with during our experience with The Fire Place. He came out to assist the installer and the next day to follow up on questions we had. On the fence about recommending. Love my fireplace. The business practices are questionable.
    UPDATE: I found out The Fire Place sells the log kit to a contractor that handles the quote and install (Allgeier Air). Allgeier charges an enormous and unreasonable markup on the log kit, misrepresents its services and doesn't review the final documention and reconcile for services not provided prior to billing. I recommend buying only the log kit from The Fire Place shop e-store and hiring your own installer or using a more reputable retailer all together.
