Charissa has good reviews; however, she is taking on too many projects. When she accepted us as clients, she had a wedding the day before, (our wedding was on a Sun.) In March, she said her daughter's graduation was on our wedding day, but she could make it work & even accepted the floral contract for the welcome party on Sat. We/she should have walked away at this time. This is our first wedding & we were not aware of how things worked regarding a day of coordinator. Charissa said we plan together & then the day of the wedding you and the bride relax & enjoy, her & her team would take care of all vendors & their responsibilities.
Our floral proposal included lavender to give scent to the boutonnieres. She used rosemary without notifying us. The bride got the scent of Rosemary every time she hugged her new husband. A scent she did not enjoy.
She said she had a rain plan set as we planned an outdoor dinner. She did not, she only had figured out where dining table could go. she changed the table plan for cocktails and reception that included no seating. We planned for 48 seats. Indoor chairs and tables were available.
Our chair and table vendor determined at 10 am he did not want to put up chairs due to weather. By 2 pm weather had let up and the ceremony was at 5:30. Charissa was on her way to her daughter's graduation & did not even try to find any alternative resolution. Charissa decided to have rose petals put in the grass to resemble an aisle. Venue contract did not allow this.
The alter stands were proposed & accepted with urns to create height, there were no urns, &the pedestals looked odd and squatty.
The wedding cake was the wrong color and presented on the wrong cake stand..
She closed the bar down 30 minutes early & ask to leave due to weather before the bride and groom had even left.
7 out of 10 vendors did not fulfill their obligations correctly. Her leaving prevented me from seeing the bride and groom leave. She did not fulfill her obligations.

We work around the clock to create the ultimate wedding experience for each and every couple that we have the pleasure of assisting on their most special day. It is always difficult to receive a complaint like this, in part because it becomes a "he said, she said." However, so many parts of what was said simply is not true.

We would like to share a few facts just because we care so much. First of all, the bride personally thanked us following her wedding for making her "dream day" come true. That means the world, and we will focus our energy on knowing this. Secondly, we have written documentation from the individual who wrote this review letting us know, "everyone is complimenting the flowers at the welcome party...loving the look." Third, seating was done to specifications and we did our best to accommodate day-of wedding guest list changes. We worked hard to make sure the bride was able to have the ceremony in her preferred space, even if we did have some seating challenges due to high winds and stormy weather. Finally, it is important to note that, based on Kentucky law, event bars cannot serve alcohol for more than 5 hours, and according to the wedding venue, they must close 30 minutes prior to the wedding party exit, which in this case was at 11 pm. We had to close the bar not because the vendors wanted to go home early, but because we were required to.

In full, we did our level best to make sure everyone had a wonderful time, even navigating possible tornado threats throughout the event along with the typical hiccups that happen when planning any event. This happens even with the experience and enormous effort all vendors put into the day. We care very deeply about each and every wedding that we are involved in and give 110% to earn our reputation as a reliable and top-notch business. In this case, all services outlined in the contract signed by both parties were rendered and provided. Any claim that we did not uphold our end of the agreement is not true.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Saying all of this is not true is very upsetting. Not only did she not address, the cake and cupcakes, leaving early, the lavender vs. rosemary., transportation for wedding guest's and other things. It appears she still has not reviewed all the detailed information printed out and delivered to her office numerous times. To intimate that my daughter, the bride was happy, when she was not aware of all the discrepancies right after the wedding because we the family tried to hide it from her.. I can assure you she was disappointed.

Please review the proposed floor plan and tables and seating vs. what was executed. Does it appear that it was just easier to do it the way it was done? Hundley Hall can accommodate 140 for a seating dinner with dancing. We were supposed to be 200 guests with 4 8 top tables, and tablecloths and flowers on them. The executed plan is not even close.

Please review the contract with the venue. It clearly states 5 hours and liquor started at 6 ending at 11, not 10:30. I also added that it states 5 hours or thirty minutes before the end of TAKE DOWN which was midnight. She wrapped it all up at 10:30, and stated she had a thirty minute drive home and did not want to do it in the rain. The reception was to go until 11 pm!

A wedding day is special, this one was not overseen by the day of coordinator as it should have been,

    Sincerely,

Date of transaction 03/23/22• Invoice #***• ******** had agreed to deliver my wedding flowers from my ceremony location to my reception location. Upon late arrival at the reception ******** neglected to set up or deliver all of the flowers I had paid for and admittedly left with them in her truck. I paid a total of $4,343.61 for service fees (delivery and set up), the flowers themselves, and tax. After noticing ******** did not provide all of the services she had promised I confronted her and asked for a partial refund of the service fees seeing as she did not deliver or set up the majority of my flowers at the reception venue. She refused any amount of refund and apologized for her poor effort. At the very least ******** could have left my flowers outside of my venue so I would at least have them in my possession but instead she took them with her and could’ve taken them to another venue that she was working that day. I paid to have my flowers at both my ceremony venue and my reception venue but instead I only got to use them for about 30 minutes of my wedding day (during my ceremony) which is why I feel I deserve a refund or for there to be some sort of compensation.
