My car was repossessed Friday 10/27/23. My finance company sent them the release paper work Wednesday 11/1/23 which was 5 days later. I had an appointment set up for 11/2/23 to get personal property from my car and had asked what the tow and daily storage fees were. They said they couldn’t tell me the prices or let me book a retrieval appointment until they received my release papers. It’s illegal to withhold pricing information. You guys know what you charge hourly and per tow but would not provide me that information. Well my personal property appointment was canceled due to them being closed. I’m not sure why appointments are being made available but then they’re suddenly closed? The next available appointment was for Tuesday 11/7/23 as they said they’re now closed Thursday to Monday. But i still have to pay storage fees for the extended days they’re closed and can’t make a same day appointment. Well they sent me an invoice for 12 days of storage ahead of time and refused to let me make an appointment to retrieve my car without payment. Which is also illegal. Legally i have the right to view my vehicle before making payment and i have the right to pay with cash and not just card. Well i paid the fee and ended up scheduling my appointment which they canceled again! Saying they’re now closed Tuesday too. So apparently their only days of operation are 9:45am-1:30pm on Wednesday’s. Which is also illegal. Tow lots are required to have more business hours than 3/4 hours a week. Then to make things worse the tow lot has no hours of operation posted or a working telephone number or email. Which is also all illegal!!! It seems like they’re trying to keep my car for the 15 days so they can sell it as they’re not letting me retrieve my car. I will be going to the lot tomorrow without an appointment and if i do not receive my car i will be filing a lawsuit.

United Recovery repossessed my vehicle for the finance company, ******** ********* ***** I followed the directions online for the tow lot to set the required appt to obtain my vehicle wasn't successful. I called an agent as it stated to do on their website (if i was not able to schedule online).
The agent was able to schedule me an appt for 9/5/23 at 10AM which was five days later. A long time to wait but she said I couldn't get the car without an appt and that was the next available. On 9/5 I took an Uber to the tow lot and the lot was locked. I called repeatedly and got a recording, so I had to take the Uber back home. When I called 800 number for the tow lot, I was told that the lot was closed that day. I have confirmation via text that the appt was confirmed for 9/5 at 10AM. I told them I scheduled with an agent, and they said I need to reschedule. Next available appointment was two days out.
Two days later I went again to get my car. After waiting and making more than 6 phone calls to try to get someone to open the gate to the tow lot someone finally came to the locked gate. I asked her why they scheduled my appt on a day they were closed, and she said " We weren't supposed to be closed. Someone was sick Tuesday"
I am requesting the tow lot pay the cost of the Ubers I took to obtain my car in the amount of $65.05 as well as compensation for the day I missed work in the amount of $149.76 for a total of $214.81
Had they kept the original appt that their agent scheduled I would not have lost a day of work or incurred the Uber fees.
Thanks for any help you can offer

I have a car loan through Chrysler Capitol. My car was repossessed by United auto recovery. I’ve paid all late fees and my vehicle should be released to me. I’ve called United auto recovery 8 times today and have no answers of where my car is and when I can get it back. They tell me their system is down and will be back up in half hour. Every time I call they state it was working and recently went down again. They have no back up plan when this happens and now will be closed for the weekend and the upcoming holiday. I’ve done everything asked/required by both Chrysler Capitol and United auto recovery and still have no answers as to where my vehicle is and how to get it back. After 15 in the impound lot my car will be sold at auction. It’s already been 3 days, they are closed on weekends. By the time they reopen it will already be 8 days and am worried they will auction my car off.
