      Dropped car off for window tinting 5/22. When I picked up 5/23, it was pouring rain & my car was parked across the street so I ran over to it & jumped in without inspecting for damages (not that I should have to). When I arrived home, it had stopped raining so I took the opportunity to check out the work done. Immediately I noticed a deep scratch in my rear driver's side door. I took a picture of it & called the shop, but it was 5:30 at that point & they closed at 5. I called again the following morning 5/24, & Lance (manager) told me a picture would not suffice & to bring my car in so he could look at it. I did so on my lunch break, but when I arrived I was told that he left early. The guy behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about, so he took my info & assured me Lance would call me the following morning 5/25. That did not happen, but I chalked it up to being Memorial Day weekend. I called again Tuesday 5/28 & this time Lance told me to send pictures so I did. He told me he had cameras & would check to see if he could find anything. From that point on, I have been given excuse after excuse as I continually followed up to try to find a resolution until Tuesday 6/4 when Lance finally told me that they would not cover any repair. He told me there was no way his technicians could have scratched my vehicle yet in the same message told me his cameras didn't work outside & that the ones inside didn't show the side of the vehicle. I pointed out that a razor blade was left on top of my sunroof as well. That all proved irrelevant as Lance instead tried to refer me to a 70 year old man who could fix my scratch on the side for "crackhead pricing" all while expecting me to pay for it as well. I do not feel it is unreasonable for me to expect my vehicle to be returned to me in the same condition it was in when left with the business and I am only seeking to right this wrong.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The store manager did not offer to assist me in getting this resolved. His solution was to refer me to to someone who can fix my scratch while making me pay for it. I had already paid almost $500 and am not interested in having to fork out more money for damages they committed. He said I didn't provide a recent picture - I did and it is attached in my complaint along with all of our written correspondence. He also claimed I did not bring this up until I got home - this is because it was pouring rain. Pro Tint left my car in an adjacent parking lot roughly 50-100 yards away from the business. I had to run in the pouring rain to reach my car. It was not feasible to inspect my car for damages in a thunderstorm. It was also closing time (roughly 4:55 & Pro Tint closes at 5). It had stopped raining when I got home at 5:30 and I immediately called and left a message to notify them of the damage. I was lied to (it is documented in our correspondence) about the existence of cameras. When I asked for camera reviews, all of a sudden they don't work and don't have the angle to see where the scratch occured (how convenient). The tint job has some places in it that are not satisfactory. Between that and them causing hundreds of dollars of damage to my car, we felt it appropriate to dispute the charges. Rather than deal with a company that has proven it is unwilling to work with me on reaching a satisfactory solution, we would rather just get our money back and be done with the situation so that we can put those funds toward fixing the damages caused by Pro Tint.

      Last summer I purchased wheels and tires from Pro tint. The company, Koalafi, they use to finance with is terrible. My purchase was supposed to be one year same as cash. They said they recieved my payment late and charged me 30% interest starting the first month of payments. I'm already in talks with them on the BBB trying to get money back considering it was a year same as cash and they have charged us over in $1000 interest charges. My second complaint with Pro tint is an issue with the wheels I purchased. Within a matter of months, the wheels began to peel. When I went up there the show them, instead of replacing them due to the bad quality of the wheels, they offered to give me a discount on another set of wheels. So they wanted me to spend hundreds of dollars on a new set when I already paid a large amount of money on tires and wheels, and the wheels peeled.
