      Currently and for the past 6 months I have had water to my house turned off due to not living in the house. I had an automatic payment set for the utilities and they charged a $250 payment for a house not getting water. I called them to resolve the issues and was informed they wouldn’t return my payment and that the reading would stand.

      The reading from her meter came in and it looked different than before, so I removed her from the autodraft list until the matter was resolved.  We sent the crew back out to recheck the reading and they reading that came in was correct ,we also have done a usage history chart on the meter that shows water went through her meter on January 26th and 27th using 23.544 gallons in those two days I discussed this with Ms. Slone and done a leak adjustment on her account. As for the payment she speaks of, there has been no payment made as of yet on the account.

      The water district has sent me 2 water bills on a house I don’t live in. Two bills in this month and I haven’t been at my house in 3 months. The first bill was over $77. And the second bill in the same month is $27 .70. I called them and told them I hadn’t been home for the last two or three month. They replied we don’t know why it’s so much. I found out they have sent other people bills and triple what they usually pay. They couldn’t give me any explanation why the bill was so high and why I received two bills the same month.

      The customer lived in one house and moved to another and rented out her former house. She called to ask if the renters had called to put the water into their name and discovered they hadn't. She then gave the order to pull the meter out of her name. The meter was pulled on February 1st, 2024 (after billing was done). The second bill was actually her final bill and was for only the period of time from January 25 to February 7, which is the smaller bill. As for the answer to higher bill. We assume it's because renters had moved in using water while still in her name. We explained all this to her but she evidently didn't understand. Our billing covers previous month.
