      I gave a down payment in late August 2022 for cabinets and a new sink. I was told about 8 weeks. On January 16 they lifted the countertops and brought the new cabinets. The measurements were off and they took the cabinets back. They came the next day to replace part of countertop and install the new sink. Again -- the measurements were off and they took the "new" sink back. I had to wait another five weeks without a functional kitchen -- no sink -- to have the remeasured cabinets installed. On 2/14 they removed the countertop, on 2/15/23 they installed the cabinets and on 2/16/23 they tried another sink which did not work. They came back on 2/21/23 with a sink that worked and completed the countertop. They failed to put in the metal bar under the countertop to anchor the dishwasher -- when I e-mailed the salesperson I was working with I got no response. What should have been a couple of days inconvenience turned into five weeks without a kitchen sink or functional kitchen. I had to eat most meals out as washing dishes in the bathroom sink is not very good. The total job was $4095.00. I sent a letter and an e-mail respectfully requesting a discount because I was out over $500 for easting meals out during the time my kitchen was non functional because the salesperson took the measurements wrong. It was on them, not me, that I was inconvenienced. I have paid the bill. I have attached a letter I sent requesting a discount for the inconvenience and I heard no response.

      On behalf of Vittitow Cabinets, I would like to apologize to you for the inconvenience of not being able to use your kitchen for five weeks.  We do our best to provide the highest possible level of service and craftsmanship, but sometimes unpredictable pitfalls pop up out of nowhere and cause such inconveniences.

       

      We agree that the time frame without a completed kitchen was totally unacceptable, and I can assure you that this is not the way we wish our customers to be treated.

       

      As a result of that, we have taken necessary precautions to make sure that such incidents do not happen again.  As a token of our regret, we will honor the discount you requested.  We appreciate your understanding and wish to retain you as a customer for years to come.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      while I am happy that the company understands and accepts their responsibility in the situation and they say they are going to honor my request of a discount -- they do not say how much.  I would like to know how much of a discount and when will I receive the discount in the form of a refund check?  Once I know those details, I may view this differently.
