We hired TJ N*** to replace our concrete driveway. We felt confident in our selection decision to support a local company based on reccos, reviews, being reasonable and performing quality work. Unfortunately, I do not think our driveway is a product of professional or quality work for numerous reasons: 1) Our driveway is not proportional; the right side is wavy, curving in and does not symmetrically line up with the edge of the apron. 2) Nothing about the driveway was measured to be squared and no chalk lines were snapped for alignment and accuracy. 3) The finish is inconsistent; there are several mismatched finishes, colors and rough patches throughout the driveway, along w/inconsistent edging. 4) Worst of all, the driveway is uneven with a noticeable dip. 5) We also have many small divot holes at the top of the driveway. TJ felt bad and tried to patch these holes. Unfortunately, the patchwork made this area look worse. I really hate to write a dissatisfaction review because TJ is super nice and was recommended for doing good work, but the result of our driveway is not a product or reflection of good, quality and professional work, but instead is poor workmanship. TJ is aware that we are unhappy about the quality and look of this driveway. TJ validated our dissatisfaction by stating no, he would not be happy either with the look of this driveway at his house. TJ asked how he could make this right for us. I told him the only way to make it right is to have the whole thing ripped out and replaced, but that did not happen. Instead, he offered a refund. He refunded us $1,000, gave us a $150 bucket of sealant, a $20 concrete rubbing stone to help remove his patchwork and a $10 small, used brush. While it was gracious to refund $1,000, I did tell TJ that $1,000 is not enough compensation to cover the damage fees or fix the issues that have already been done in this poorly finished concrete driveway.
