We committed by signed contract with —- (owner) of Pine Mountain Design in May 2023 to build a deck, total amount of $22,000. He was to start in July 2023, did begin late August 2023. From there it went downhill. After several months and many broken promises and poor communication, he apparently hired a subcontractor, who did some of the work, but after speaking with them one afternoon, —- (owner of PMD) had not paid them any money and they refused to return until they were paid. To date, we only have a partial frame of the deck and have paid over $18,000 to him. He will not return phone calls, messages or any correspondence. I just want the deck completed and hoping the BBB may be able to get a response.

Signed a contract with ***** ******** of Pine Mountain Design on April 10, 2023 for a pool deck/screened porch. 22x43’ deck and screened in covered porch 12’x16’. Total cost 21,650.00. Agreed to pay down payment at time of contract, middle payment at time of materials delivery (8/18/23) and draws made by contractor on balance as needed up to 90% with final payment upon completion. Per contractor, Permits delayed start of project from April til August. ***** ******** sent a subcontractor “******* to begin deck build mid-August. ****** worked quickly once ******** had materials delivered. After weeks of Mr. ******** not responding to messages he sent ****** to complete the stairs and handrails on Nov 7. On Nov 30 he sent someone to begin framing the porch, and on 12/1 asked for more money. On Jan 4, we still had unfinished project and he said he would finish in a few weeks. As of today, May 11, 2024 our project remains unfinished and Mr. ******** is no long responding to requests for updates on the project. We have paid 95% of the total- $20,433.32 and have waited for months. We have seen on his social media that is advertising for new work and he has been moving on at least one other persons new project rather than ours.

Additionally, the subcontractor named ****** who did 90% of the labor stopped by and said that Mr. ******** has not yet compensated him for the work he did building the pool deck in August-November of last year. I would like our project to be completed. And I would like to help ****** be paid for his hard work. Mr. ******** seems to be either heavily mismanaging his business or purposefully delaying projects and not paying workers. He has drawn so much off our balance that I do not think he is motivated to complete our job. Since he is not responding, I am hoping the BBB will be able to contact him and get a response. Please note the number you have listed is outdated his current number is +* ***** ********
