On June 19th I took my 2021 Ford Expedition to S&S Tire Brannon Crossing to have a tire that had two screws in it fixed. They called me and explained that I needed two new tires and alignment. I agreed to them doing the service. I picked up my car on Friday, paid for it, and promptly hit the interstate with myself, 2 other Male Adults ages 58, 24, and 3 children ages 8, 17, 16. We drove from Lexington to Atlanta, averaging speeds of 75 to 80. We arrived in Atlanta on Friday evening, where we picked up two more passengers ages 41 and 16. So in Atlanta Friday and Saturday we drove the Expedition all day. On Sunday this is what we saw:

3 lugnuts were missing off the back rear tire

Thinking this was odd, I went to each lugnut on all four tires to see if they were tight, they were not, in fact I could spin them all multiple times with my fingers. I went and spent 36 dollars for lugnuts and 20 dollars to get all four wheels lugnuts tightened correctly. I was told by the mechanic we are lucky to be alive and that our tires did not come off.

On Monday I spoke with SS Tire at Brannon, to be told yea I will give to my manager, which I completely understand. Well that manager hasn't called me. I spoke to corporate as well and was told they would research and figure out something.

The more and more I think about this the more and more upset I get. We all could of died by this mistake. We trusted SS Tire and I will be sure to think twice now.

Regarding this customer's concern we have verbally spoken with the customer and worked an agreement out that fully resolved this issue. This agreement was reached prior to this complaint being filed. It was our understanding that all was well and the customer agreed. After receiving this complaint we reached out to this customer a second time to make sure that the original agreement was still satisfactory and it is. When we spoke to the customer a second time, on 6/26/24, the customer stated they made a phone call to BBB and ""told BBB everything, and that "we are good." This complaint should be deemed resolved by both parties.

Was told price to fix was $650.  Was charged $1711 plus $320 first time.  They didn't call and asked me if I wanted to fix it at a bigger price.

Hello. I called a few minutes ago and decided to email as well. I'm writing in reference to complaint #********* The complaint was emailed to me on 7/17/23. I went on the email today to respond and now there is no where to respond. Under next step it now states complaint has been sent to the business and closed as information only. What does that mean? I wanted to respond to the complaint because there was an agreement reached, the complainant was satisfied and the matter is closed. Will this complaint show as a negative mark on the business? Please email back with answers to the questions. Thank you.
