Paid for a part by phone at Mike's ifix, was not informed of a 40% restocking fee, plus return shipping charge.
I called the business 2 hours after speaking with them to cancel the service and left a message on the answering machine, to cancel the requested service. Now they won't give back the 150 and even want more money for a service they did not perform. The invoice, nor the receipt I received say nothing about a restocking charge or the deposit being nonrefundable.

Customer called right before closing wanting us to order the part to repair their device, they asked us to overnight it for faster repair service.  We let them know we can accept a deposit that’ll be credited to the total of repair price at end checkout but if any changes happen the deposit will cover fees. Customer agreed to go forward, so I then sent an invoice to customer for secure checkout for them to enter in their payment, once payment was received we placed the part order that was processed and shipped. The next day during operating hours we saw there was a voicemail from the same customer after 8:00pm which is after hours. After contacting customer they wanted to cancel but we have told the customer it was already processed and part delivered that we had. We gave the option to go forward with the repair or if we have to return it’ll be the restocking fee and return shipping fees.
The customer yelled and hung up the phone after several attempts to call back was not able to reach the customer back after my calls were being blocked.

I am rejecting this response because: no where on any thing they sent to me stated that deposit was non refundable. NO WHERE. My next step if this isn't resolved will be filing a small claims case against them, As I have the proof of paperwork stating no such agreement, as well as multiple claims online that they have done other people the exact same way, in this case I will include my gas money and time invested trying to procure my funds that were illegally kept.

    Sincerely,

I brought my computer to Mike's ifix for a repair after a case change that was unsuccessful and wouldn't post. he said it would be 165 and it would be a couple weeks before he got it done I told him okay but I need it on time due to me using it for school. nearly a month later with no updates and not even finding out the problem I told him I want it back so I can return the case just in case that was the problem. he said okay I took it back and was successfully in fixing it myself. I filed a transaction dispute with my bank and was content with everything being taken care of on that end. however today he posted on Facebook calling me out and offering to share my information to anyone who asks for it. this is harassment and unprofessional. if this is not resolved I may seek to escalate.

Customer agreed to my non refundable service fee that we charge when making the work order and do our service diagnostics to cover the time and shipping of parts ordered, The customer contacted us back during the time of servicing and decided to change their mind and purchase another PC and was told to stop and piece the pc back together and return the parts we had ordered for diagnostics. We assured him the service fee was non refundable due to the time spent and cost of buying parts paying shipping both ways I will upload screenshots of my policy and the Facebook post that was open topic and not once had his name in it to feel self included

I dropped my iwatch and the screen broke. I took it to them and they said they could fix it. They had it for two weeks and when I got it back I was hard to use and glitching. I was wearing it about about 10 days after the “repair” and the face plate fell off of the watch and it stopped working. I brought it back to them and they said they would fix it at no charge kept it for two weeks then called me and said it now had “water damage” and that they couldn’t fix it and they would not refund me my money from the first repair. I worse the watch all the time on water prior to the screen breaking and when they said it was fixed I assumed I would use it the same as I did prior to them working on the watch. If they had fixed it correctly there would have been no way for water to get into it so even if it now has water damage that is due to them not finishing the job correctly. They are scamming people out of money.

Hello this is the response to the complaint, the customer has record that the iwatch was repaired with our policy agreement on their copy of invoice that the device was repaired and picked up, all of our repairs have a lifetime Manufactor warranty however any liquid damaged done is not covered and will void the warranty. The customer has changed their side of the story on the post they have shared. I have recordings where she told another part but also brought in and asked if I had **** and that my **** needed to be taken away from me over this situation, also the customer stated she wanted me dead, also went on to proceed to say she will bring my business down and sue me. I do have recordings and record of the conversation with this customer. We believe that the customer is doing this because of lack of care of their device on a mistake they did that they were expecting a freebie or a outcome in their favor in all she understood verbally at check out and with her copy of the invoice policy agreement she was given as she checked out. The dates she said were also not the same as she stated at drop off before this situation escalated far out of putting threats on my life wanting me dead but also bringing my **** into the matter. I do have proof of this.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First the person I spoke to at Mike’s ifix did not get my consent to record the conversation in doing another illegal act.  They kept asking me what else I had to say in regards to him being a bad person trying to get me to scream at him knowing he has just stolen my money and deliberately trying to hate me.  Regardless of our conversation again my phone would not have had water damage if they had fixed my watch correctly like they had claimed.  The only way water was able to get into the device was lack of them properly fixing the watch when I first brought it to them.  I want my money back from the original “repair” because they failed to fix it correctly allowing the face to come off and allow water into the electric tonic device. He clearly doesn’t know what he is doing when saying he can “fix” something or the watch would have been working the same way it did prior to me bringing it in to them.  I have heard from countless people after sharing my experiences that they are incompetent and have done this scam to many other people and must be stopped.  It is ethically and morally wrong to allow this man to continue to run his business without being held accountable.

    Regards,
