      I was contacted by a loan officer from the Pikeville branch on December 8, 2022 regarding my deceased father's auto loan. She first asked me if I knew why she was calling, which of course I did not know. She proceeded to inform me that his car loan was delinquent and then further questioned the whereabouts of the vehicle. She also inquired about when a payment would be made stating "we just can't ignore this kind of delinquency" (it was due on October 13th; he passed on November 11th). I told her that we were waiting to probate the Will and open the estate. She then asked "Well, when will that be?" to which I answered that we would have to have the death certificate. She wanted to know when that would arrive!
      Neither she nor the other employee offered any condolence for me and my family. Even when I pointed that out she said “I’m sorry you feel that way!” Really? Sorry that I felt sad for not receiving any recognition that my father had just died and they were wanting to know when they’d get paid or where the vehicle was? Unbelievably bad service. Words cannot describe how insensitive this department was to me. Trust me, I’d do without before considering banking with them.
