On March 25, 2022, Wynn Auto tinted the windows on my 1995 Corvette. This included the 2 side windows, back window, and front window strip. They charged $220 for this service and issued a lifetime warranty on the window tint for as long as I owned the vehicle. January 2, 2023 the car had to be taken back to Wynn Auto to have the rear window fixed due to peeling tint. Was advised they would need to keep the car longer to remove the tint from the rear window and then replace it. On Tuesday January 3, 2023 I spoke with Wynn Auto and they told me that the tint was removed, window cleaned but the tint person was having a hard time placing it back on. They then stated that if he couldn't figure it out by Wednesday January 4, 2023, they would call me. Wednesday January 4, 2023 they advised that they could not get the rear window tint replaced because the tint person had only been tinting for a week or two and the previous person that tinted the windows originally no longer worked for them. They offered 1 free detail for compensation. After speaking with the owner about my concerns that I personally would have to find someone to fix their mistakes and still pay for it, they offered me $110. Advised them that I would be in to pick up the car later that evening, I was given an envelope with 1 free detail but not $110 that they originally offered. I found a company to fix the back window that they had left without tint but the new tint the company uses would not match the rest of the original tint that Wynn Auto installed. So I then had to pay a total of $318 to get old tint removed and vehicle retinted . Wynn Auto did not at any point try and find anywhere to fix their mistake and left it up to me personally to find another company to correct their bad tint job.

First the customer wanted a complete refund for all the windows. We was offering a refund for the window we removed which was $100. Then I spoke with the customer and said I would offer $110. Then he said he did not want anything from us. He said that was not acceptable and we apologize to him again. He did take the free detail and he left. We was trying to go out of our way for the customer and we are sorry for the misunderstanding. The new company could have easily matched the tint with the rest of the windows matching the type and darkness of the tint. If you have any further questions please call us at *** *** *****

    To whom it may concern

In addition to my last response. I would like to add that the free detail that *** ***** received was a totaling amount of $175.00. When discussing his concern of the window tint, he was offered $110.00 at the last offer, and he responded by saying that it wouldn't be enough to cover the new tint and that if that's all we were offering he couldn't accept it. Mind you it only cost $100.00 to tint the back windshield. So, he was going to get more than what the back windshield cost. There was nothing wrong with the tint on the front two windows. We were never made aware that the other company couldn't match the tint until this process started. However, that is extremely odd considering that the tint is by percentage. Had he accepted the amount of $110.00 and the free detail, it the total was more than he paid for the tint. He also let us know that with his business he goes into at least 5 houses a day to fix appliances. He would tell every customer that they needed to stay away from Wynn Auto Detailing and how awful they were and how he felt everything was handled poorly. He was going to push his opinion onto every customer. We were completely shocked at the thought he was threating to slander the Wynn Auto Detailing name while on the clock with his job. Please feel free to call or email us for any further questions or concerns.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: After reading Wynn Autos most recent response, it seems that their was poor communication between them and myself.  It was never explained that I would be getting both of the options.   My understanding was a gift certificate, which was an unacceptable compensation.  Then was offered multiple dollar amounts that lead up to the final offer of $110.  They did not mention giving both certificate and dollar amount.  As for the slander accusation, I have not had any issues with Wynn up until now.  They have done service to multiple cars we own and this is the first issue we have had.  I had an issue with the way they were trying to resolve the problem with this service.  So while I do work in the service industry and go to multiple peoples house/business daily, I have not and have no intentions of slandering Wynn Auto.  What I have explained many times is that I only want them to make good on their warranty that they could not provide to me.  I had to have it fixed by another company and all I was asking was for monetary compensation towards my expense to get it fixed since another company does not honor the warranty they provided.

    Sincerely,
