    They cancelled the day of our move. They were supposed to arrive between 8am-noon and I was told after noon that they had to cancel. The owner tried to help, which ended up saving us, but hindsight it could’ve been devestatingly bad. His resolution was to post a gig on Craigslist to move someone in Lexington. Two guys from Sommersett, KY accepted it and arrived at my house around 3pm. I didn’t know that they had just taken the job from a Craigslist ad, I thought they were employees of Liberty Moves. I was very lucky to locate a 10ft truck that was just dropped of at Penske which I rented even though we needed at least a 26ft. My husband was able to locate a 5x8 trailer too, which was a miracle given it was the last weekend of the month and prime moving time. The guys were a gift from God and got the job done, but they could’ve been who-knows-what and I was ignorantly letting them drive my car and move our belongings thinking they were legitimate employees since the last thing you would expect when hiring a moving company is that the employees would be hired that day from a Craigslist ad. In the end, it took us about 10 trips to move our house with my husband and I making half the runs the next day. We didn’t have blankets so our furniture got scuffed up and our dryer got damaged. When I mentioned this to the owner he said they’re not insured yet their websiste states “Liberty Moves is a fully insured, licensed and bonded moving company“.
