Owners keep all rent money nothing goes back into the actual apartments. If you pay a deposit may as well kiss it goodbye they will charge you ridiculous prices along with carpet cleaning that they don’t even clean. I moved into mine with dead bugs next to baseboards and stains on the carpet. They will also charge you for every “man hour” they have to spend in the apartment doing tedious tasks. Landlord is never in office and has half week off every week. They don’t get in any hurry to fix any maintenance issues and will attempt to put a band aid on anything. Anything where they don’t have to spend extra money to improve living for the tenant. New owners are now taking over hope it improves for the residences that live there

I have lived here for 7 years and only had small maintenance problems. Now, after 7 years, and passing EVERY INSPECTION, and no complaints, I have been written up twice in less than a year for clutter on my kitchen table. I'm told if I don't pass the inspection next week I'll be evicted - even though I passed a corporate inspection a few weeks ago. Somehow I'm thinking I'll be tossed out. I'm elderly, disabled and have a terminal illness and there is no where else to go. I'm feeling picked on and thinking of taking legal action if evicted.

I have rented off of them for about 7 or 8 months and everything was fine until April 11th. I woke up to a maintenance man in my apartment and I wasn't given any kind of written or verbal 24 hour notice which Ky law says. They violated the lease and committed harrassment when they did this. I reported them to HUD. I did it anonymous and I guess they figured out it was me because now they sent me a letter yesterday telling me I violated the lease 3 times. They said I have a light above my kitchen sink that was loose and could fall creating a fire hazard. Then they said my kitchen counter was dirty. Well if they truly inspected my kitchen counter they would have seen that the light wasn't plugged in. It wasn't a typical light. It was not a light for everyday use. It was a black light. If they had fud their job and actually checked it things would be ok. They also said that my apartment was cluttered and could use a general cleaning. The definition of general cleaning says that it's sweeping and mopping. I did those things. My kitchen counter was clean. I had some clean dishes on the left side of the sink and I had some clean cups on the right side of the sink. I have pictures and video to prove I am not in the wrong. So I feel this is a personal attack against me and my decorations I have in my apartment. I have a lot of collectibles and a few other things like horror movie posters etc. I feel this is landlord harrasment and landlord retaliation. Noone in 7 months has had a problem with my apartment or the light above the sink. Now its suddenly a problem about 10 days after I filed a complaint against them? That's retaliation and harrasment right there. I am disabled so that makes it an even worse crime. They broke the law more than once. I will be filing more complaints today. Unless they remove the negative "violations" from my permanent file by May 3rd 2023 and give me an apology.
