We moved to Kentucky from Florida in May of 21'. We chose to build with Brian Miller Contracting, as he was recommended by the community. The house we ended up choosing, already was structurally built, but we were able to customize the inside, including adding a fireplace. When we first moved in, we asked Brian about the movement of the floors, and he stated that we were not used to crawl spaces (as Florida had concrete foundations). We struggled getting him to complete his builders warranty, and the quality of work that was done by his contractors. For instance, we have cathedral ceilings in two of our bedrooms, and the contractors, numerous times, didn't bring a ladder tall enough to do the repairs. Over YEARS, he still hasn't fulfilled his warranty, and completely stopped replying to us May of 2023. The floors continued to get worse, so we had a foundation company come out to assess it. When we saw how truly bad it was (our floors in the front and back of the house were sagging up to an inch) we contacted a lawyer, and they instructed us to get a licensed Structural Engineer to do an assessment. When we received the assessment back, we emailed Brian directly, with pictures, asking him to please fix the Builders defect. No reply. When we contacted the lawyer back, we were advised that it would cost more to do litigation, then it would to fix the issues. Oh, but it doesn't stop there. In April 24', we noticed that with a heavy rain, our floor by the back door was wet. Well, that is a builder's install issue too. They didn't install it flush, and filled the threshold in with expanding foam. Now we have that cost as well, plus a claim we had to open with our homeowner's insurance to replace the damaged floors and subflooring. I would highly NOT recommend this builder. I have all the supporting pictures, emails, and texts.
