Floyd’s Heating and Air LLC installed a new HVAC system in early 2024. In April 2024, days after their pre-summer check-in, my attic unit severely leaked, causing water damage. Floyd’s attempted multiple repairs over several visits, but the issue persisted, leading to further damage. During a final repair attempt on May 8, 2024, a technician put his foot through my ceiling. The repair estimate for the ceiling damage was $1,495. Floyd’s initially assured me they would not charge for the repeated failed repairs. However, months later, they billed me $1,217.68 for those repairs, reducing my reimbursement to a mere $277.32 after damages. Instead of handling the situation directly, Floyd’s forwarded me to their attorney without notice. To this day, Floyd’s refuses to fully compensate me for the damages unless I sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which I find unprofessional and unacceptable. Their attorney has delayed responses for weeks at a time and is now refusing to communicate further. It has been nearly a year, and Floyd’s has made no effort to fairly resolve this issue. They went back on their word, mishandled the damage, and attempted to silence me with an NDA in exchange for partial reimbursement. I am seeking full reimbursement for the $1,495 in damages.
