      Thursday Sept 2nd 2021 initially came out to discuss the building plan & color selection of metal

      Sept 9th 2021 gave a $13,000 deposit for the building

      Could not pull building permit as the land deed needed to be put together as 5 acres (propery was split )
      took several months to pull permit with all the legal documents (on us)

      April 18th the building package was delivered to our property located at **** ****** **** ** (gave $12,500 deposit) on drop date
      28 days go buy and have not heard anyword from *****

      ***** to receptionist on the phone May 12th stated she would contact the lead installer and get back to us
      ***** to her later in the afternoon and she stated they were working on a large project and should be done end of week or will begin or building at the end of the week at the latest (week of May 18th)
      emailed on May 26th in regards to the building being installed as we never heard from anyone once again
      Waited til after the Memorial Day Holiday weekend to contact ***** again in regards to date on install
      Called and ***** to ***** June 2nd - he stated that ***** the lead installer would contact us for date- stated he would contact us by Friday June 3rd
      June 21st the installer framed the building (gave $12,500)
      June 23rd gave installer $8,779 - the premium
      ***** finally called after we shorted payment due to NOT being a premium package- explained all the issues we had with the material
      Mold on wood from sitting in yard in weather- chunks of wood missing roof overhang is not correct - he said he would come out to look
      ***** came to look at material and immediatel started making excuses quote "All material looks like that" We explained that is absolutel not true as we just remodeled our house with no issue

      *****'s policy clarification mentions that
      all timelines given to the customer are estimates, as we are unable to give
      exact timing due to the nature of our business. 10-15 business days is a
      timeline that ***** strives towards, not a guarantee. However, we do
      acknowledge that Mr. *******'s materials were on-site for longer than was ideal.Mr.
      ******* claims that ***** did not communicate delays in the construction
      process. This is untrue. We ***** with Mr. ******* frequently. Each update was
      an estimate we strived toward. Furthermore, we waited 4 months prior to
      delivery for Mr. ******* to have his land combined. Our policy clarification
      states that we reserve the right to requote our projects if customer delays
      exceed 90 days. We waved this fee as a courtesy. Mr. ******* signed a
      completion certificate indicating that the building was complete and
      satisfactory. He expressed none of his concerns about the materials or the
      issue with overhang to the crew or to our office staff. When he met his
      salesperson, *****, on-site after signing the completion certificate, he did
      point out the mold on the wood. ***** told him that we would be more than
      willing to spray the lumber to kill the mold, as this is the solution for that
      issue. ***** indicated that any punch-list items could be resolved by the crew.
      Mr. ******* declined this option. ***** also pointed out that most pieces of
      lumber will have imperfections in the wood. This is rather standard. Mr.
      ******* found this answer unsatisfactory and became belligerent towards his
      salesperson, stating that he was "done with *****", resulting in the
      meeting ending short, as no resolution could be met at that point. As such, a
      lien was filed against Mr. *******'s property as he was unwilling to make his
      final payment. He was sent four notices of his past-due payment and our
      intentions to file a lien/turn him over to collections. These notices were sent
      via email and certified mail.

      Better Business Bureau:

      The statements made are false and untrue. **** never requested the project to be rebid is the fact we gave them a $13,000 deposit was never a complaint as stated. The issue at hand here is the fact we received Standard building package material vs Premium package grade wood. The fact that ***** thinks that mold on wood that is 60 days old is acceptable on premium grade wood. Premium grade wood should never absorb mold in that short of time period. The fact they want to spray mold on premium material is completely unacceptable. Mr. ***** **** never reached out by phone or email on the project after April 18th ******* set up a meeting to discuss the issues at hand on the property with also stated that the timeline of the building construction is normal. not in fact premium grade and showed him all the issues such as chunks of wood missing, the fact they shorted the contractor material to do the pole beam. The lead contractor had to put together pieces of wood to finish the beam ******* never once became belligerent to **** as he stated he wanted to speak to the owner to advise him of the issues and to explain the payment. **** advised that he would have him contact ***** **** contacted ******* once again and stated that he would not be able to speak to the owner and proceeded to advise ******* he was putting a lean on our property. The fact and issue is not that it took entirely too long on the project and serious lack of communication. However it’s still not acceptable for business to be conducted in this matter. The issue is the fact they charged us Premium grade and we in fact received standard grade material of our Pole Barn.

      The issue the
      customer presents stims from their misunderstanding regarding the difference
      between *****’s Premium and Economy buildings. We use the same type of lumber
      for all projects. There is no difference in the “quality” of lumber used on a
      Premium building versus an Economy building. As explained by his salesperson
      during the quoting process, the difference between Premium and Economy is the
      type of metal used. Premium metal has a higher quality paint and a longer
      warranty (40 years), whereas Economy metal uses a different type of paint and
      has a shorter warranty (20 years).



      As for the mold on
      the lumber, spraying it to kill the mold would be standard practice for any
      builder. This is not uncommon. As it is also not uncommon for some pieces of
      lumber to have small gouges that do not affect the integrity of the building.
      Had any of the lumber delivered to the site been deemed unacceptable by the
      foreman, he would have informed us, and it would have been replaced free of
      charge, as is ***** policy.



      Regarding the
      request to rebid mentioned by the customer, this is correct. We did not request
      to rebid, and we asserted this in our initial response. Our choice not
      to rebid was a courtesy to the customer, as we do reserve the right to
      rebid any projects that exceed 90 days on customer delays. The customers claim
      to our “lack of communication” is inaccurate. We communicated every update we
      had as it became available. These updates were not always communicated by his
      salesperson, as they often came from the office staff who handled scheduling
      and other duties. 

      The customer chose to make his final payment based off the initial quote received from Mr. ***** ****. The project was requoted after the first quote, as Mr. ******* chose to increase the size of the lean-to. We have attached copies of both quotes. The second, updated quote is the one he accepted, at the Premium price. The customer took it upon himself to tell the foreman he had went with the Economy price on the quote with a smaller lean-to. It is not representative of the building package he received.
