      We would like to make a formal complaint against Logan's Uniform Rental.
      During the summer of 2022 the delivery driver would ask us to sign a contract
      extension. We always refused. The rugs we had been getting were constantly
      faded and not in good shape and we felt the increasing prices were not feasible
      with the condition of the rugs we were getting. We told him that we wanted to
      cancel service at the end of the year. He instructed us to email Paula Wright,
      the route manager.  I emailed her in October and requested that our
      service be terminated. She forwarded our request to **** ********. He emailed
      me on 1/12/2023 that our current rental agreement expired 7/12/2023 and we
      could pursue a buyout. I replied that we didn't believe a buyout was warranted
      after reading our original service agreement. At this point all rugs had been
      returned to Logans. Later we received a certified letter that we would need to
      pay a buyout and that our services didn't expire until 2028. There was never a
      contract extension signed for that length of time and contradicts what **** ********* the account manager, had previously told us. We feel that they are
      trying to commit modern day extortion and threaten us with debt collection as
      retaliation after we refused to renew our contract.

      After looking over the data the customer did in fact request to stop services and the buyout for the remaining contract was initiated as that is normal protocol. Their complaint on faded rugs is unwarranted as these are business specific logo mats. We do not replace these for fading as these will wear over time and the customer is always welcome to purchase these direct or agree to a new agreement that would warrant the new mats expense. The customer refused to a proposed agreement that would have gave them the new logo mats. The mats they were having serviced were initially put into place in 2011 so I'm sure they had faded. Unfortunately, It appears our service manager couldn't get them to understand that we simply needed a new agreement and we could inject the new mats for them. After reviewing the length of service, and the investment involved, I am having the collections team halt their efforts to collect the remaining months owed to us in accordance with the contract, provided this complaint is removed and considered resolved.

      I completely understand their frustration however the false claim of extortion as it appears to be a simple communication problem. Their initial agreement was an auto renew agreement so they would not have signed any extensions. As the new GM this one is really disappointing as they were a long time customer and I hate losing their business.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I would like to note that our complaint about faded rugs was never about our logo rugs. The non-logo products we were getting each month were faded, stained, and ragged. This was never addressed by Logans. I do not believe this was a miscommunication but we are willing to withdraw our complaint as long as the collection process is stopped against my company.
