We agreed to have Ramsey Concrete don2 sidewalks, 2 pads, and an apron to our garage on 5/23/23. They told us the price would be $3200. We were also told the job would be completed by the end of the week.
The crew showed up on 5/30/23 to form for the concrete pour. They worked 2 hours and used wood that was used prior. A mix a 2X4s and strips of OSB boards. They said it would be a couple more days before they actually poured. They returned on 5/31 and used a bobcat to add gravel to the forms and stake them down. They worked less than 30 min. I have all this on camera. We were told several times they would return soon to pour which we needed quickly to get steps and our final loan. They never showed through 6/15 when I had someone else come pour after finding out ****** ****** (owner) was gone on a hunting trip. My general contractor told me this on the phone. Ramsey concrete provided an invoice for the 2.5 hours of work they did for $1500. I asked for an itemized breakdown that they provided a couple of days later. The items are: all forming with 3 laborers (no hours or rate stated) $1000. Took bobcat over and put gravel in everything 3 hours: rate: 100 total: $300. I have them on camera less than 30 min. There’s an additional $200 charge that my GC is covering because they had to reform 1 section due to not forming it the way we requested initially. Total charge is $1500. This is almost have of the total price of the job. Ramsey stated the price was high due to the cost of concrete which we paid someone else $2650 to bring, pour and finish. I’ve pointed all these things out and was told they can charge me the full price of the entire job per their lawyer after I told them I was considering contacting a lawyer myself.

I agreed to pay $50 an hour for labor (3 people X 2.5 hours) for a total of $375. 1 full hour of the bobcat rate at $100. That total is $475 but I said I will pay $600 because I understand that they had to being equipment there to work. They said no
