    I had an issue with a new 23 Sequoia a month after purchase, Sept of 23. It took 4 trips to the service depart to identify the issue which was in July 24. Sept of 24 I went in to the dealer asking when they planned on fixing the issue, they had previously stated they were waiting for Toyota Engineers to respond back. I was notified they were told, do not attempt to fix. My car makes a loud rattling noise you would not expect a vehicle of this price to sound like. Larry T***** at Toyota of Somerset said he heard & understood our frustration, he wouldn’t want his vehicle to sound that way. He provided a number to Toyota Brand Engagement Center to make a complaint to see about Toyota repurchasing/replacing my vehicle since they could not fix it. He said the complaint would come to the dealership & he would back our request to try to help get it approved. 90 days later we got a denial. When my husband contacted Mr. T***** he said oh has someone not reached out to you? We are able to fix the issue now. A reflash was done on the car on Dec 20th 24. Dec 31st my husband asked Mr. T***** if they’d be interested in buying the car. I simply was not happy after having to deal with an issue for over a year. It took the joy of owning the car away. He did not respond. On Jan 1st the noise returned and I recorded it. I called Toyota to express my frustration once again. Mr. T***** was not available so I spoke with Lloyd who was very rude & stated what’s the noise matter it doesn’t affect the car mechanically? Well you wouldn’t want to pay this price for a car that sounds like a junk yard! He then stated he would speak to service & Mr. T***** & get back to me. Jan 3rd he text me to say my husband stated the car was fixed I just didn’t want it & they weren’t currently buying any cars. He basically said I was lying about the issue reoccurring. I then sent him a recording of the noise. He did not reply back. Spending $80k should earn a customer more respect than we were given.

    Window sticker had a $995. Protection package for under body rust protection. After buying vehicle I crawled under to see what it looked like. I found no coating on anything. I called to confront them. They tried to lie there way out of it but having 40 years experience working on cars it didn't work. I made them refund my money. They didn't like it! So be careful when you buy a vehicle make them show you what you are buying!

    We were very sorry to hear that Mr. ********** was not completely satisfied with his purchase of a sharp new Toyota Tundra. Once he reached out to us with his concern, we invited him back to the dealership so that we could place the truck up on a lift to show him the application areas and to further explain the benefits. The coating that is applied to areas of bare metal is for the purpose of protecting from road debris (rocks, etc) and to act as an enhancer of sound-deadening material from the road noise. It is not a rust protectant as he describes. That is done by the factory during assembly.
    Once Mr. ********** declined several invitations to return to the dealership to discuss, we decided that refunding him the $995.00 charge would be most appropriate in order to clear up any confusion and to make sure he felt more comfortable with his purchase decision.
