One star is way too many for this company. If I could give them zero or negative stars, I would. How long should a person be without hot water? A few hours? Maybe a few days at most? When I got home from work on 03/23/23, I noticed my water heater was leaking A LOT so I submitted a service request with *** Home Warranty that evening. They assigned my case to Service One Plumbing. I've now been without hot water for over a week and a half. I ended up having to fire Service One because Dan was very unprofessional and uncommunicative. Is it really too much to ask to keep me in the loop on what's going on with MY water heater? If his guy isn't coming, say so. Don't tell me it's a possible "maybe", knowing full well he isn't coming. My life has basically been on hold due to Service One's lack of professionalism. Apparently, Dan or his guy also lied to *** Home Warranty, telling them that they came out to my house to inspect the problem on 03/24/23. NO, THEY DID NOT! Dan told me to send pictures so he didn't have to come to my house. That’s very unprofessional! He didn't tell me to drain the tank so I ended up with a 40 gallon indoor pool in my garage. Several of my personal items in the garage were ruined due to water damage. My advice... run as fast as you can and as far away as you can from Service One Plumbing. They only care about doing what's best for them, not the customer. They should be called Service None.Service One Plumbing, LLC

************** has a home warranty. We were contacted by her home warranty company to check her water heater. Her claim was not designated by the warranty company as an emergency. We responded to her claim when we were notified by her warranty company. After a discussion by phone that her water heater was leaking, we attempted to talk her through shutting the water heater down to stop further leakage. We asked her to text pictures of the water heater in an attempt to guide her visually on how to get the water shutoff. Once the water was shutoff, we discussed setting up an appointment to come to the property to perform the inspection to confirm that the water heater indeed needed replaced. After examining the pictures of the unit that were sent in the attempt to help ***** get the water turned off successfully, we determined that we could use the information that we received to start the process for replacement with the claim for her home warranty in hopes of expediting the process. I explained at that time that we would not need to set an appointment to visually inspect the water heater as it was obvious that it needed replaced. We advised ***** that we would submit the claim to her warranty company to start the process of replacement. We explained that this process would take some time and that we would follow up with her as soon as we had more information on the claim. Several phone calls between myself and ************** occurred after the claim was submitted. ************** had phone issues that were resolved on Monday per her text to me. Contact again was made to communicate the coverage by the warranty company. ************** agreed to proceed with the replacement. We explained that the warranty company would order the equipment and that once we were notified of its availability, we would reach out to her to schedule the installation of the water heater. We had no control over the ordering process, or the length of time needed to get access to the replacement unit. Once we received notification of availability of unit, contact was made with ************** to schedule the installation. This was just before the weekend. We attempted to set up an installation on Saturday at no extra cost to her even though ****************** warranty company would not cover any overtime cost for a weekend installation. ************** explained that she had several appointments that would make it difficult to get the installation done. We offered to come early in order to get the installation done. We waited Saturday until noon with no call from **************. At 1:15pm. she called to say that she was finally available We explained that it was too late for Saturday and that there was a possibility that we MIGHT be able to do the install on Sunday, but it was NOT likely. I explained that I would call her IF we could get it done on Sunday if not then next availability would be Monday. ************** sent me a text message on Sunday upset that she missed church and that we were not able to install the water heater. I again referenced our conversation over the phone on Saturday that it was not likely to be installed. Communication was had between both parties via phone calls and text messages as noted by **************. We made every effort to help her during this situation from shutting down the water via texted pictures to identify the right valve to shut off up to expediting the process with her warranty company as best as we could given the circumstances. The water heater would have been installed on Saturday had it been a priority for **************.Greta Z.

1 starContacted the Home warranty company to have (3) shut-off valves replaced. They sent Service One Plumbing. Plumber came, recommended the valve change. Two weeks went by, nothing...texted and called Service One Plumbing to arrange an appointment. Appointment made and confirmed. On the day of the appointment, Service One was a "no call-no show." Called the Home Warranty Company to advise them of the situation. They had in their records the problem was fixed. I informed them that it was not and that I had text messages from Service One confirming appointments and text on the day of service asking where they were. Finally, They sent a plumber out. He called and said he would arrive around 5:15pm. He showed up at 6:30pm. He began his work by shutting off the water at the street. He did not shut it off all the way. He cut the pipe and water began collecting in the basement. We had to put buckets to catch the water. This plumber had to call a friend to bring the replacement shut off valves because he did not have them??? As of the writing of this review it is 9:06pm on the day of repair and he has NOT finished replacing a single valve!!! If I could give Service One a ZERO, I would! I even made a written complaint to BBB. DO NOT USE Service one Plumbing EVER!!!!!!!Review fromJosi S

We had a small puddle of water on the floor where our gas hot water heater and furnace was side by side. We called our home warranty insurance and they sent out Service One Plumbing. He was only here for less then 15 minutes, flashed his light and took a picture of the model # and said well looks like the water and gas lines may have to be reconfigured to fit the 50 gallon tank (I only had a 40 gallon, if he had replaced it with a bigger unit it might not have been covered), an over flow tank installed and you have to move the washer dryer out of the room before he was able to do the job. All of that may not covered on the home warranty to get your hot water heater up to 2022 codes. I asked how much and he quoted $900.00 to $1200.00. I am on older woman who can't move the dryer much less a washer. My woman's instincts told me that was not right. I then went and got on my hands and knees with a flashlight and inspected it completely. Turns out the hot water tank was just fine. No leaks at all. It was the furnace next to it that was the culprit. I would not recommend using Service One Plumbing ever, not even for a runny nose much less a plumbing problem.Service One Plumbing, LLC

This homeowner has a home warranty. We were sent by them to check a leaking water heater. Upon arrival water was present on the floor under the unit. We checked the inside of the jacket of the water heater and found water gathered in the bottom of it. This conclusion does not typically take very long as it was obvious. All indications were that the tank was indeed leaking, The homeowner stated she wanted a bigger water heater installed in its place. The current unit was in fact a 40-gallon tank. She also stated she wanted a new unit installed that would make it difficult for her elderly mother to turn the temperature up as she was having problems with her raising the temperature causing excessively hot water and safety issues. We gave her an estimate to install a 50-gallon unit. I explained that there would be some changes that would likely occur in order to do as she requested. There was quite a lot of debris in the laundry room and washer and dryer would need to be removed in order to possibly facilitate the install. We did not expect her to remove them because as she noted above that she herself is elderly. It was just an estimate that was given to the warranty company for the replacement. The warranty company would not cover all the cost involved with her request. The estimate given was for a worst-case scenario to install new larger tamper resistant water heater. I understand that the homeowner was not able to afford to pay the necessary cost associated with her request as I understand it is a significant amount of money. We often work with customers to help defer costs and set up payment plans to help with the expense involved. I think it is worth noting that this homeowner later confirmed our diagnosis and reached out to her warranty company and took the cash out option for a non-leaking water heater?
