      We hired this company to dismantle and remove a large tree that had fallen in our backyard. They left a business card on our doorway and were among many of the companies we called for a quote. After coming out to our property, a price of $2150.00 was decided upon and would include both chopping up the tree as well as removal of the majority of the tree. We agreed to allow them to leave some of the smaller branches, as those could easily be managed. After the verbal agreement, payment was requested and work was to begin that day. Their whole team arrived and got to work cutting up the tree. This took place on Monday, July 10th 2023. Before the work was to be started, I informed them that I couldn't pay them in the cash they requested that day and would need a couple of days to get the money into the account. They instructed me to just pay with a post dated check. I post-dated the check for July 12th, 2023. While they were working on our tree, a neighbor approached them for some services as well. They began to focus solely on the neighbor's trees through the 11th and 12th. Once the 12th hit, I noticed the check had been cashed, and upon arriving home, all of their equipment was gone, and I still had an ENTIRE tree in my yard. The neighbor's yard was cleaned up. My money was taken and my tree was still there. We attempted to reach out several times, leaving voicemails and sending text messages. All have gone unanswered. We do not have the money to pay another 2k for a company to finish this job and it has really set us back. The company is also now closed according to the Google Listing. It is disheartening to think we were scammed, but I feel like because we had no written contract, we are out of luck recouping any of our funds. Please come finish the agreed upon job, or contact us to work out remaining details.
