I purchased a home new construction in 2017. BM was called out at least 3 times to service after 5 yrs in the home compressor went out. I could not get a replacement part until Oct 23. So apparently there are some issues if this part cannot be located. The tech I hired stated that unit should not have gone out that quick. I should have gotten another 5 yrs. Now I am out of a savings and thousands of dollars. This is just not right.Bell Mechanical Services, LLC

Thank you for reaching out about your compressor. Our service manager has contacted the homeowner about the situation to resolve the issue. Bell has went out on a maintenance call and warranty call in 2020, but the homeowner hired another tech to fix their compressor in 2023. The homeowner was out of warranty with Lennox and purchased a new compressor from the other company. Therefore, Bell did not charge or make any repairs for their compressor. If you have any issues in the future, please contact us to schedule an appointment. Thank you!Review fromRichard A

1 starIt all started last year. March 2022 1st - No duct work in large bathroom 2nd - Maybe a week or two after running the unit, unit started leaking water all over my foyer and a bedroom celling. They first sent a guy that just got back from back surgery, poor guy tried to relevel the unit and every time he picked up on the unit, he would scream a little. Who in their right mind would send a guy just released from back surgery? 4th Had one of their best technicians look at it and found a Cap wasn’t installed and that was the whole reason the thing was leaking. They had to change out the whole plenum from it being water damaged. If no cap is installed the unit sucks air into the system and forms an air dam and water cannot drain. After cap was installed, unit worked flawlessly for almost a year. 5th The end of August 2023 the unit dropped about 2” due to them using nails to hold the unit up instead of screws. Again, water all over my celling. My builder and I fixed the unit by lifting it and securing it with screws. I requested Bell Mechanical to change the pan to cover the whole unit instead of half of it and they did and that’s where it got worse!!!! 6th For some unknown reason they changed the drain line and absolutely got it wrong. Got home from working all day and found the unit pouring out water. Good thing I had them change out the pan for a larger one. 7th I Spent 6 hours on a Saturday fixing it myself, replumbing, leveling and changing out nails that should have been screws from the beginning. I tried to get others to fix my unit, but they were all busy. I even had one technician tell me “I heard about Bell Mechanical and I’m not going to be the one fixing their screw ups”. Lastly, I DO NOT want any money or for them to come back to my house and destroy my new home attempting to fix issues from incompetent technicians. What I do want is for their BBB score to be dropped and to warn others that this company absolutely doesn’t care about their customers!Review fromBrittani S

3 year old house. System originally installed by bell mechanical (bm). Unit leaking water due to poor sealing/installation which has now caused water damage in my ceiling. I have made couple of calls due to water retaining in my pan but the only thing that was done was adjusting the pan so the water can flow through pipes, didn't find out WHY water was leaking. Now that water is about to bust through my ceiling and I am considered out of warranty because my house is 3 years old they would not come and look at the damage. There is mold growing from my unit from water retaining in the unit. This has been a problem since purchasing the house and nothing has been done. There are holes in seals to the ducts which is producing condensation which is why the unit is leaking. You can clearly see this has been an issue due to the rust and mold. They will not return my calls and will not help because I am out of warranty period. Now I am being asked to pay full price for labor after the problem is clearly due to the company's improper installation and tech not properly identifying the water issue.Bell Mechanical Services, LLC

I don't know if this company cares about being sued someday or not. One of their technicians came in to service a heating issue. I live in a 2-storey with 2different thermostats and even when one of them is turned off you still have heat/air running. He came over and took out a "dampster" or something without replacing it or informing us that we'll be without heat. My 2kids and I had to sleep in a 59° until 2am when I took them to a friend's house.
This not the first I've had to use their service. Almost every month I've had to call them for temperature balancing, smell from the vent, cooling problems.Bell Mechanical Services, LLC

The day the review
was posted, we went to check the equipment earlier that day. The tech on the
call noticed that one of the zone dampers was malfunctioning causing heat to
not make it to one of the floors. That tech ordered the part and we went out
the next day to install the bad part. The homeowner called in the day we went
out to inform us that the heat wasn’t working properly. We informed them that
parts have been ordered and we would make it out the next day with the correct
parts. After the tech installed the parts, he verified that the heat was coming
into the home and working properly at the time of the visit. The last tech took
a video of the system sealed and verified heat in the home before leaving.Review fromTD C

1 star3 year old house. System originally installed by bell mechanical (bm). Stops cooling and because of the warranty I call be BM to service it. Tech comes on time and within 15 mins determines I have a leak. A few mins later it’s determined the leak is in the coil in the attic unit. Since it is past 2 years I have to pay labor. But I registered the system with Goodman and I have 10 year parts warranty. BM tech tells me it’s not really a full warranty but a discount. Says It will be anywhere between $800 and $1200 + labor AND he can’t get a coil for 2 weeks.
So I called my HVAC guy for past 23 years and he called BS. Called Goodman, gave them my serial number on the unit and they have over 50 coils in 2 local locations that he can get in 4 hrs. AND with my warranty it’s 100% covered. My guy came out and has charged it, did not find evidence of a leak but installed a dye pack to make sure. He feels there isn’t one and if there is he says 9 out of 10 are fixed with a weld repair. I paid BM for the visit and a leak test (total $249) with no evidence that the leak test was done really. What he did do was take the tape off the unit so that I was cooling the attic for a day prior to my guy putting humpty dumpty back together. I will now have to pay for another visit and leak test because of BMs business practices. If this had been my 85 yo father he would have been taken. I am frustratedReview fromIesha t

I wish I could give them 0 stars.
I called on 7/27 due to my A/C unit not blowing intermittently. On 7/28 Brandon came out. He said the issue was hard to identify since the unit was working at the time of his arrival. He mentioned the blower settings was low and he adjusted that but everything appears fine. Before he left he placed in my new filter. My filter wasn't set to change until 8/31 but i went ahead and changed so we can ensure no issues. Within 3 hours of him leaving the unit begin to have the issues again. I immediately called back and they scheduled for someone to come back out on 7/29. On that day he changed the thermostat saying maybe that's the issue. Again unit not working. Keep in mind I would turn my unit off every day once I realize it's not cooling the home. Why let it run and run up my bill. When it comes back on it intermittently cools the home. The outdoor unit runs the whole time but nothing is heard from the indoor unit. So on 7/30 I called again they of course closed for the weekend. I left emergency message due to the system saying to do so if air is out. Well the lady ******* called back and told me no one was volunteering in the area. I said okay that's fine what about Monday morning I need to be like on that morning run. Yes no problem we can do that. 12pm Monday 8/1 rolls around: call again & was told I was on the 1-7 time frame. *** ******** calls on his way out. Let me know he's on his way and he that he GOOGLED some stuff over the weekend and he's pretty sure it's the blower/fan. Gets here and only her for 2 mins (security cameras-can prove it). At this time the unit is not working. It's in that BAD state he needed and didn't Tun no test or check nothing. To be told the part will have to be ordered and no one knows how long it will be. I have called on 8/3 & 8/5 just to be told someone will call me and doesn't now I'm told to wait until Monday & call again to check the status of the part.
