Took my cat in for sore on her inside upper lip , charged 375.00 and they did not treat her lip, instead they gave vax shots first (it could have waited) and said now they can not treat her lip for another week. They should have treated her lip problem first, the reason I took her there in the first place. Found out this place is a corporation , PROFIT OVER EVERTHING ELSE!!

Client schedule an appointment for an annual vaccines for cat on 6/19/2024, on 6/24/2024 he added that he wanted a spot on the mouth to be examined and to schedule a dental cleaning

During appointment client stated that he did not want to do the vaccines. While the assistant talked through what was needed that day, he opted to move forward with the annual vaccines so all charges could be "on the same bill". Patient received vaccines per client request and went home with 6 month supply of heartworm/flea/tick medication per clients request. DVM discussed the options for treatment of spot on mouth with the client, biopsy vs. steroid injection, client opted to start steroid therapy in 1 week per DVM's medical notes. Client was scheduled for steriod injection follow up. Upon check out, client was displeased that hospital policy only allows for 6 month interest free financing through Care Credit. Client paid bill and left. After leaving, the client called and questioned the 6 month financing again, we explained to him again that is hospital policy. Since this conversation, client has continued to harass the hospital through multiple avenues. See below.

"I took my cat to the JAH for a swelling on the inside of her lip. they asked if i wanted to give her , her vacinations after they gave the shots they tell me because she got them they could'nt give the steroid shot for her lip. so when i left I was charged 375.00 and did not get any treatment for her lip , the only reason I took her there. they said I would need to bring her back in 1 week for the steroid shot. they make more money on vac . So when I go back they can charge for another visit and make more money.. if they would have given steroid first I could have come back another time of my choice . No they had to get the vax shots first and then tell me she could not give the steroid for her lip . THIS PLACE IS ALL ABOUT MONEY, NOT THE WELL BEING OF YOUR PET, ALL along I said I had care credit and loved that on the first bill they give you up to 2 years to pay monthly NO INTEREST 0% . WHEN I give my care credit number , they say they only allow 6 months it's there corporate policy. So I was charged $375.00 and got no treatment for the reason I took her there in the first place. ******** CORPORATE GREED should be there business name. I don't care I will only pay to care credit 32.00 per month. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !! did not get any treatment for her lip , the only reason I took her and again received no treatment for it. I fell like I got scammed ,with ********!! by a ******** CORPORATION just so they maximize profits. Only go to privately owned VET CARE .Care Credit will call you, they have been informed about how you run your corporation ."

"beware of this place , Profit over pet health. Was charged $375.00 and my cat did not receive any treatment for the reason I took her , because they gave vax they couldn't give the steroid she needed for reason I took her there for another week. So my cat's lip problem will fester for another week. Why wouldn't they treat the main problem first. Corporate greed!!!!"

Communication from employee in the room with client: MCP: 06-28-24 at 7:18a: O came in for an "annual and lump on lip." I walked into the room and asked what was going on with the lip. O explained to me what he thought it could be and I said Dr.***** will come take a look at it, I then asked him if we are doing P's annual today -per the appointment sheet- he said "no." I said "Okay, no problem". I then asked about flea treatment because there was nothing on the chart saying that he was on any. I went over NCG and he asked me if it was going to be on the same bill. I said yes and he explained to me that with his care credit it has to all be under the same bill so he can pay it off in 2 years. I said "yes, for us we only do 6 months" he said "no you don't know. I am a new care credit user so I get 2 years" I just said okay and continued on with my questions. I brought up vaccines again and he asked once again if it was going to be all on the same bill and I said yes. He said "Okay then let's do it". So I said okay, I told them Dr.***** would be in to look at her lip and do her annual, he said "Okay, thank you ma'am" I walked out, updated Dr.***** on what was going on, then I put charges in and drew up vaccines. Me and Dr.***** went into the room, she did her exam, and grabbed the vaccines. P was getting irritated so O began helping me hold P, Dr.***** grabbed the vacccines and told O "This is FVRCP and Rabies vaccine" and O said "Okay" and comforted P. She then grabbed the next one, "This is FELV vaccine" O said "Okay" and comforted P. After vaccines were done I held P while Dr.M looked at P's lip. She said we will do a steroid shot, I then walked out of the room because she was done examining the P, Dr.***** continued talking with O about treatment. I left and put in last of the charges and got his NGC ready. After they were finished Dr.M came out and said that we will reschedule in a week for steroid shot, due to the vaccines being given, I said okay. I went into the room because O wanted us to apply the first dose of NGC, I did so and AP came in with an appointment card for his steriod shot. He said "okay thank you", and I walked them to the front. His cat then got loose from his hand due to the lack of a carrier and I ran to grab a cardboard carrier from the closet. I helped him put P in the carrier and they checked out and left. He was very abrasive to me up front, but I walked away to do the next appointment. At no point did O express displeasure with follow up until after being notified of 6 month Care Credit policy.
