My sister ******* ***** is currently a patient at Red River Psychiatric facility in Bossier City. They are about to release her and we were desperately seeking a nursing home for her. We searched online and discovered the Savannah. In our rush to find a place for her, we completed the necessary paperwork for her to reside there. We then visited them and decided that it wasn't a place for ******* and we told them so. We found a different place and then with no authorization from a responsible person or directly from the owner of the account, they submitted a bank withdrawal for 3600.00 for them doing the paperwork. No one in our family has a power of attorney over ******* or her money and they were informed of that, yet they made the charge anyway. As of this writing, I have reached out to them and they haven't returned my calls. Initially, we thought that once ******* was released and went there, they would do the financial part with her. I believe they committed fraud.

This is AN incorrect assessment of what happened. They signed a CONTRACT, not 'prelimnary paperwork'. He stated he pays her bills - gave permission for the money to be charged, even gave instructions for it to come out in 2 payments. When we denied the resident being in Main Assisted living, as the doctor said she needed memory care. The family didn't like that, and decided to back out on the contract. Our contract clearly states the admin fee is non refundable. However, we did refund the entire amount - we also didn't charge them rent or a 30 day notice, which was also part of the contract. We acted in good faith, they did not.

We've resolved the situation and are thankful for the refund
