    While the movers were at my house several things came up missing out of house. When I confronted the owner about the missing items he denied it and said that he would talk to his workers and call me back. I never received a call or email.

    Good evening, in regards to the complaint, Mrs. ***** contacted the supervisor of Moving on a Budget on 4/3/25 stating that she was unable to locate a drill charger. At that time the supervisor stated  that he would check on the moving truck and also speak with each of the crew members that completed her move and would let her know. He called her back that same day(4/3/25 at 142pm) to notify her that there were no items left behind  on the truck and to advise her  to check inside of her boxes but he did not receive an answer or a call back.

    Scratched my beautiful wood floor and Ethan Allen desk. Went over ever piece of furniture and number of boxes with them and they quoted me a price of $711 with two pick up locations. When they arrived to move me they demanded that I pay them over $800 in advance and I told them there would me only on pick up place now so I had to pay the total of $740. They did not deduct the $105 deposit I paid.
    I have called them about ten times and they say they will have their supervisor call me back and I have not received a call as of 8-6-2024. They moved me 5-14-24. They have blocked me on all three of my phones. *** ****** ********.

    We are currently addressing Mr******* issues in regards to his move, so far I’ve repaired Mr and Mrs ****** Ethan Allen desk, and now they’re just waiting on me to take care of the floor, I made an attempt but I wasn’t completely satisfied,but I plan on going back out this week to finish up everything with Mr & Mrs. ******.

    I’m really would like to apologize to the Better Business Bureau for not responding nor updating my progress regarding this complaint..

    I hired Moving on a Budget to move my household goods from Bossier City to Baton Rouge on Feb 28 and March 1. When they dropped off my items they damaged a wall, a door and a file cabinet. Additionally, they spent approximately 2 hours attempting to assemble and install a bed they disassembled. Ultimately they could not complete this because they left the instructions at the old house and a lost a part that's critical to the installation. After 2 months of them not returning my calls they eventually filed a claim with their insurance for the damaged items. Their insurance informed me the damaged file cabinet is not covered but they did pay to have the property damage repaired. I still have not received a return phone call about the 2 hours wasted trying to install the bed.
    I have tried multiple times to resolve this issue and tried to dispute the charge with my credit card (which was unsuccessful because the company claimed they dropped off all of my items as promised).

    I am rejecting this response because:


    1- Acknowledging that you
    lack sufficient insurance coverage to replace items that you damaged does not remedy the
    situation. This fact is not an issue in which we disagree on. If your insurance will not cover the replacement of this item, it is your responsibility to replace it. 

    2-
    You still have not addressed the issue with the hours I was charged for the
    portion of the job that was not completed (the reassembly of the Murphy Bed). 

    3- In spite of my numerous attempts to contact you to resolve this matter, you continue to ignore my calls and messages. 

    I am requesting a payment in the amount of $574.99. This is for the two hours ($150 per hour) your employees spent trying to assemble the murphy bed but failed to do so and $274 to replace the broken file cabinet. I have attached the quote for the file cabinet, pictures of the file cabinet showing the condition in which it was delivered and pictures of how the bed was left unassembled.
