I placed an order on 11-12-22 for food items worth $44.84. On 11-22, the seller emailed me that my home address was marked as not valid and the items were being mailed back and I would be charged additional postage to resend. They went on to say they would not offer a refund. The issue is that my address is correct. I live here and I don't think I should have to pay additional fees because the post office made a mistake. I asked if I could come pick it up and was told no. The post office said they don't have it because they returned it to the sender. I would prefer the products but I will accept a refund. The seller sent an email she was keeping money for all of her efforts to prepare and package the items but gave me no indication of what that means. I'm really feeling cheated. And I placed a second order from them on 11-20 unaware this would transpire. So I probably will loose that $32.50 too. I've never had a company refuse me my items when I have paid in full. I need help getting the food items or my money back.

This customer received free shipping when the package was first sent. I am not required to offer free shipping, but we do offer it to our customers. The reason for non delivery was written as being insufficient address. I wasn't giving her free shipping twice when the wrong address was the reason for non delivery. The address that prints on the shipping label goes by the information entered by the customer. It wasn't my fault either. There is a 10.00 shipping fee if package is returned due to customer error. She wasn't paying extra. She got it free the first time. The first thing we have to do in this case is find the package. She was demanding a refund before any effort had been made to find the package. Also, the package did not come back to me ever. I never received that package back. That is why I did not have the package for her to come and get. I had to go and make the effort to find her package when it became obvious that she was not going to work together to try and find it. She just kept demanding a refund. She lives closer to the city. I live 45 minutes away. I told her what had happened, and the location of her package in Bossier City. She went to get it and it had been damaged. I was worried about that since it didn't get delivered. Once I knew her package was damaged, and it had nothing to do with the address, I replaced as much of it as possible. What I could not replace, I refunded her the money back. She should have the products by now. I made no attempt to even try to make her happy a second time. I refunded the second order. No way was I going to even take the order with the attitude i was experiencing with this customer.

    Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/12/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I am satisfied with the replacement and refund. I think the reply is misguided. They immediately began sending hostile emails that I found threatening when it was deemed undeliverable. There was absolutley no grace given by this company. The lady was very upset that I wouldn't admit that my address was wrong. Because it wasn't. When it was determined that they had packaged the glass jar inadequalty and that is why they they were undeliverable, the company made it right. They never apologized for being so rude in emails though. You can close this case.
