Our experience with HOME Classes has been incredibly disappointing. My children attended this program two days per week since the beginning of the school year, but after repeated issues and a complete lack of communication from leadership, we had no choice but to withdraw them. From the first nine weeks, my son had ongoing issues with a particular teacher who consistently gave him failing grades for completed work. We addressed our concerns in a meeting with both the teacher and the director, ****** *******, hoping to resolve the matter, yet nothing changed. After the second nine weeks, I requested another meeting to find a solution, but my request was ignored.Shortly after, the school abruptly closed for two weeks due to multiple cases of pertussis. During this time, I made multiple attempts to schedule a Zoom meeting through the assistant, only to be told that this was not an option and that I needed to email the director. I did as instructed, yet my emails went unanswered. Even after two weeks of being reopened my messages continued to be ignored. My husband eventually had a final meeting with the director and her husband to return books and discuss the complete disregard for communication. Instead of addressing our concerns, they placed all the blame on our family, refusing to acknowledge any fault on their part or their teachers. They dismissed every issue we raised, making it clear they do not value parental input or accountability.I have much more I could say about this situation, but to remain professional, I will leave it at this: If you value open communication and a leadership team that listens to and respects families, this is not the place for you. Unfortunately, your opinion will not matter to this organization because they believe they are above accountability. We have since enrolled our children in another program where leadership prioritizes professionalism, integrity, and respect-values that were severely lacking at HOME Classes.
