      I needed to have routine bloodwork done including checking my Vitamin D that had been done numerous times in the past at several different locations. My work schedule makes it difficult to fine time in the day to make doctor ************ or have bloodwork done. When I could not get in at Qwest or one of the other places, I called my doctor. The doctor said since it was just routine bloodwork, he suggested I got to St. Tammany Out Patient Pavilion located at ****************************************** Covington, LA *****. The bloodwork normally costs me roughly $30 but this time, I received a bill for over $1,000. I contacted St. Tammany and was told the Doctor's ****** coded it wrong and was not coded as a wellness check. The doctor's ****** called St. Tammany and it was recoded. My insurance has also been in contact with St. Tammany Parish several times about the coding issue but they are not willing to resolve the issue at all and make a different excuse every time including they charge under the hospital's umbrella. I did not go to them as an inpatient or anything hospital related as this was for bloodwork alone. After months, they discounted the bill down to $792.04 but again this is a coding issue and I have never been charged this before. The insurance and my doctor have also talked to St Tammany parish several times and have been told it would be corrected but again nothing gets resolved.

      I went to the emergency room on 3-8-23. I was charged $120 for the copay. I was checked in to the hospital a few hours later. With the insurance I have, if I check into the hospital with in 24 hours I do not have to pay the copay for the emergency room. I have calling the St. ***** hospital to have them return the $120 that was charged. Every time I call I get a different reason on why they have not returned the money. Called yesterday and I was told that the $120 was used for a copay on services on 5/1 ***** services was charged to a separate charge card. Another time I was told there were waiting for the insurance to pay for charges that were declined. Got with the insurance and they showed all bills were paid. This $120 should not have charged from anybody.
