  To Whom It May Concern,
  I am writing to formally file a complaint against Delhi Glass Company, located in Delhi, Louisiana, and its owner, Mr. Robert C****, regarding the unsatisfactory and damaging service performed on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
  I visited Delhi Glass Company to have a small crack in my windshield repaired, in hopes of preventing it from spreading. Upon arrival, I explained the situation to an employee who then instructed me to pull my vehicle inside for service.
  While I waited, an employee from the office asked me to step outside to examine the vehicle. At that time, she informed me that the technician who was working on my car had applied too much pressure, which resulted in the crack spreading further making the damage significantly worse than it was when I brought the vehicle in.
  However, about two weeks later, I noticed the crack had begun to spread further from both ends—clearly stemming from the damage caused during the attempted repair. I returned to the shop to speak directly with Mr. C**** and asked if anything could be done to rectify the situation.
  To my disappointment, Mr. C**** refused to take responsibility, stating, “I’m not doing anything about it, and if you had any common sense, you would have known it wouldn’t have worked.” I reminded him that I had come to them because they are supposed to be the experts and that there was no disclaimer or posted warning about the potential risks involved with such a repair.
  I have used Delhi Glass Company’s services previously—approximately seven years ago for a similar issue—without incident. This time, however, their negligence has caused significant damage and inconvenience. A quote from Auto Glass Now indicates that replacing my windshield will cost $1,350.86 out-of-pocket.

At the time of your visit, the inherent risks of rock repairs were clearly explained to you both verbally and via signage that is posted in our shop so that you could be fully informed of the risks. Because the repair was unsuccessful, we did not charge you for the service we rendered to you, in line with our policy of standing behind our work. We also regret if any part of our interaction came across as dismissive. We always strive to address any all questions respectfully and thoroughly.
