      In July ************************************************************************************************************************* other smells after treatment due to respiratory & immune system problems. $5,500.00 was paid to ****** ****** on 07/09/2024 for these services. Supposedly work was completed, however we still have strong odors in our office. We were told there was a 10 year warranty on job and invoice mentions 10 year warranty. On 07/19/24 ****** ****** texted us that he would take care of reimbursement. On 8/26/24 ****** ****** stated that check had been sent, we told him it had not been received, he said he would have to check into it. Despite our many unanswered calls to & voicemails left for ****** with no return call since 08/26/24 we still have not received reimbursement. Attached is copy of invoice and a timeline of events regarding this matter. We would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide to reconcile this matter.

      Initally, 3 days after the job was completed, the client called me to voice his concerns.  He was very rude and demanding of me to give him back all of the money for the services I provided due to not being satisfied with the chemical smell lingering in the office area where the service took place that no one else but he and his wife seemed to smell.  I  and I have contacted the owner and told them that will reimburse them a portion of the cost of the job due to them not being satisfied. My company went out on 3 separate occasions to remedy the issues that were caused from the chemicals. I have agreed to pay $3500 to the client, however,  due to buisness being slow, I have not been able to make good on the promise as if yet. I will have the agreed amount paid in full by April 15th. This gives me time to rectify the matter.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ************ have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      We cannot close this case due to the fact that we do not have trust that ****** ****** will do as he says.   Mr. ****** has made promises to us since last July that he has not delivered on. He was made aware that I have very poor respiratory health prior to even giving us a quote for the job in July and promised he could do the job we as we explained was needed.  See below for brief timeline of events since last 07/08/2024 on this matter.
      07/08/2024 - ****** ****** told us he could see black mold spores in our office, but he could kill any mold spores in our office with the cleaning products and process he uses and that there would be no remaining odors from the mold nor the chemicals.  We agreed to pay ****** ****** $5,500.00 for this service. This was to have mold matter resolved with no lingering odors and not have go through the process and expense to replace flooring in the office.  We explained that I would not be able to stay in my home while this work was being done. We were told by ****** that the job would probably take 2 days and there would be no odors.
      07/09/2024 Began the job.  Very Strong odors were left from chemicals and floor was extremely sticky.  ****** ****** had men come out on 07/10/2024 and 07/15/2024.
      07/19/2024 Still strong odors and could not even wash the sticky residue off floor.  ****** agreed to pay us refund of $4,000.00. This still left us with a mess.
      08/05/2024 Reimbursement not recd yet so called ******.  He said he had been sick & it had not yet been sent.
      08/26/2024 - Reimbursement not recd yet so called ****** & had to leave voicemail.  ****** did return call & told us a check had been sent from *******, LA & when we told him it had not been recd he said he would have to check on it & let us know.
      08/28/2024 thru 09/07/2024 left voicemail each day for ****** that reimbursement had not yet been recd and to please call us.  There was no response from ****** ****** until he texted on 01/14/2025.
      09/10/2024 We filed complaints with Attorney General State of ******* and with Better Business Bureau ******************* Area
      November 2024 Had Mold/Toxins testing done to certify safety.  Removed hardwood flooring from cement slab & replaced with new hardwood. Had Air Duct system of house cleaned. Stayed in hotel for 6 nights while work was being done due to smells and dust of work zone.  Cost:  $5,115+ in addition to $5,500 paid to ****** ******.
      01/14/2025 ****** sent text in which he offered a refund of $3,000.00 to be paid by 02/10/2025.  We counter offered to accept $3,500.00 by 02/10/2025 date to settle this thing.  ****** agreed but did not deliver.
      02/18/2025 Reimbursement not recd yet nor had we had any communication from ******.  So we texted him to let him know we were tired of his games and are planning to take him to court.
      03/10/2025 Reviewed Cedrics response to BBB.  He comments that no one but me & my husband smelled the odors and this is not the case.

      In closing, ****** ****** did not communicate to us that he would pay us the reimbursement of $3,500.00 by 04/15/2025 except through his response to the BBB.  If we do receive the reimbursement $3,500.00 no later than 04/15/2025 it will satisfy this outstanding complaint.

      Our basement had some water seepage. We found this company on ******* Their website touted numerous certifications, including ***** certification. We called and were told that any standing water for more than an hour meant that our entire basement would need to be treated. The project lead was late several times and when he showed up he assessed the damage to our basement. He took moisture readings that read ***** on our cement floor and were told that because rain water had been on it for more than an hour we would need to treat the entire basement for spores.The claimed that they had many certificates to do this work on their website and when prompted. We proceeded to investigate these certifications and found that A) Most of the certifications were only for the company's owner who was not on site or overseeing the work and B) Invalid or expired. We also found that the ***** did not give them permission to list the company as being certified on their website, which was one of the reasons we felt safe using them. When investigating the insurance they gave us, we were told that the certificate was only valid for carpet cleaning, janitorial (both residential and commercial) and did not cover any of the remediation services they did in our home. As such, it seems they did not have valid insurance and were trying to trick us.The company said they used certain chemicals that they mixed but would not show the containers they came from and we are unsure they used what they said they did.Further, we had a second restoration company come out who said that none of the work that was done needed to be done. The water would've had to sit for 48 hours to create spores, and that because the water was mostly on concrete there wasn't an issue. They would've recommended simple things to do ourselves, or if we paid them they would've included services like drying impacted areas and then a spray, but no fogging. The remediation done was inappropriate for the job.
