    I wouldn’t give Gene’s Tires one star but. Have to rate it. Feb 21,2024 went in for a tune up. They ended telling me they had to order whatever they change under the hood as it actually looks like a soup can, and to just come in in the morning. I left and went down Highway 25 to go to my Walmart. The hood on my beautiful garage kept 2013 van flew open and crashed my windshield. I called and they said we’ll come pick you up. I was such in shock from the BAM. I said no, I can see enough through the windshield to come back it was less than a half mile. I got out of the van to see if I could pull the hood down. I saw a cap sitting right in front as it was the oil cap. I screwed it back on. I was shaking. So I tried to make a u-turn on the highway and ended up being hit by a large landscape truck. That man, w only a $2,000 dent in his bumper is suing me. My beautiful van has been totaled. I have a $10,000 14y old Akita who has had major surgery by the top surgeon in Louisiana 2 months ago. We go to the park every morning. ??I have to drive him in my husband’s Tacoma so due to age I had to get a step thing, over $200 due to his weight. - The girl Gene’s office said she saw everything on the video and they were all just standing around my van in the back. I’m without my van now. The girl told me she talked to Gene and he said it was too bad. He never offered me a penny and he has multiple tire centers around the parishes. I have talked to my attorney. Obviously this man has no morals. I’m now on a fixed income. I am devastated. Thought I’d have that van until I died. Now my Akita is having a horrible time climbing in the Tacoma. The kid that didn’t lock my hood has been fired or quit.
