On March 11, 2024 I went to C&G Seafood and Deli to purchase crawfish. I purchased 5 lbs of crawfish and was charged $60 for the crawfish. After purchasing the crawfish I went online and saw that the crawfish were 8.99 per lb. When I called the restaurant to tell them about being overcharged the lady pretended to be oblivious and stated that I didn’t say I wanted the special; however per the website the crawfish alone is $8.99 per lb and if I would have gotten the special it would have been $7.99. My issue is that $8.99 multiplied by 5 does not equate to $60 and the store took no accountability or tried to make it right.

Mrs. ***** came to C&G Seafood and Deli on March 11, 2024 around 2:30pm. She requested (2) 2 pound bags of boiled crawfish. Market/advertised price at the time was $8.99 per pound. We also advertised a 3lb Special served with corn and potato for $26 and a 5 lb Special served with corn and potato for $40. Mrs. ***** did not ask for the 3lb nor the 5 lb Special. I scooped her first bag of crawfish. It weighed 2.66lb at $8.99 which equals $23.91. I asked her if it was too much, she told me it was ok (see video attach at 2:06 for reference). She then asked to make her second bag 3lbs instead of the original 2 lbs she initially asked for. I proceeded to scoop her second bag which weighed 3.49lbs at $8.99 which equals $31.38. So, Mrs. ***** received 6.15 of boiled crawfish. It is difficult to get it exactly at the requested weight most times we are a little over or a little under but I always ask if the weight and amount (Total Price) is ok. I have attached a video as seen on our cameras where there is a head nod from Mrs. ***** after looking at weight and price of the crawfish. I also attached a picture of how our counter is set up so that our customers can see weight and price of their food so that we can be completely transparent.

I did receive a phone call from Mrs. ***** shortly after she left. I tried to explain to her that she did not get the special because that is not what she asked for and that she received approximately 6 pounds crawfish.
