InfinEye, LLC advertises to be a computer services company. When you contact the number everything the automated and 'in person' interactions are about Medicare and the advantages they can assist you in qualifying to receive. The only human I was able to ask a question of did not know the person I worked with about my 'infected' computer which was preventing installation of Mircosoft Office Home and school.
I went to the site (office.com/setup) printed on the Microsoft product card and the install started and then terminated with a big red letter message indicating my computer was infected and I would receive a call in 15-30 minutes. A person called 15-minutes later.
He told me the installation was aborted due to the infection and he would fix it and install the Office Home and School software. He asked for permission to access my computer to run the diagnostics and clean-up programs. Eventually the scan completed and tech indicated my computer was no longer infected and he installed office 365 which I told him I had not bought and did not want. He removed that and installed the Office for Home and School.
He suggested that I purchase a security service and listed the Cisco ones and prices along with the two he recommended 'which were a bit pricey' stating the life-time product @ 7299.00 was the best deal.
Quickly thinking about the other antivirus prices that have yearly subscriptions I decided the Lifetime one was a better per year deal. He pulled up an electronic check and I gave him the information needed.
I got to thinking back through the process and contacted Microsoft to see if the company was a 'partner' and found out they were not. I contacted my bank to put a hold on the check, but through mis communication the dollar value was incorrectly entered and the check was paid. There was no answer, only voice mail at the number I was given as his personal number.
