2000 character limit restricts the more detailed explanation of this event:
Following a previous negative ownership experience, I have continued to visit this establishment on multiple occasions intent on purchasing a Subaru Outback. One visit resulted in the salesperson not negotiating with me on price. Again I tried and on the second visit a year or so later we could not agree on trade-in price for my vehicle. On my last attempt, the salesperson made an offer with what I perceived as unexplained, inflated costs. After some text and phone inquiry, a deal was ultimately negotiated and agreed upon by the salesperson, the sales manager, and myself. An additional email explanation of cost and offer to move forward was obtained from the owner. I accepted the offer to purchase and the following morning the agreement was canceled by the owner, citing his entitlement to a higher margin of profit. For this negotiation I inquired about and was willing to pay what I felt was an unnecessary “Consumer Service” fee plus a couple other questionable costs just so I can finally acquire an Outback this year.
Unfortunately, my attempts to deal with this establishment have continually hit a brick wall. The details surrounding this experience leads me to question whether the establishment is solely willing to do business with those that are unwilling to raise questions as to the validity of additional incurred costs. Had I not inquired about Consumer Service and other fees, could it be that I would finally be driving my repeatedly sought after Outback?
Negotiation and disagreement will not warrant a bad review from me but in my opinion, a positive review must incorporate keeping your word and the word of those you employ. As a consumer, I have discovered many instances where I overpaid for a product or service. But if we have an agreement, I will honor my word and choose to learn from it. This is my review and I do not require a response, apology, or excuse.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation
After reviewing the details of your visit and the deal you inquired about, I found that the price you were seeking to purchase the Subaru Outback was $1,600 below what we paid Subaru for the vehicle. As much as we strive to provide competitive pricing, selling a vehicle below our cost would result in a loss and compromise our ability to sustain the business.
We believe in maintaining transparency and fairness, which is why I explained that we aim to achieve a modest 5% margin on our vehicles. This margin is necessary to cover our operational expenses, including paying our dedicated team of salespeople, sales managers, and support staff who work hard to provide excellent service to our customers.
While we couldn’t meet your desired price, I sincerely hope you understand our position and commitment to running a sustainable business that serves our community. If there is anything further I can do to address your concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.
Thank you for considering us, and we wish you the best in finding the right vehicle for your needs.
      Sincerely,
      Bob G**** Owner

I purchased a 2020 mustang from Tyler around May, he told me and showed a carfax where they did an inspection, changed all fluids prior to sell. A few months past I called dealership to see when oil change was due and was notified they had no record of ever doing it. I also found out a lot of other stuff that Tyler didn’t mention. I know all salesman lie to make a deal. I will never buy nothing from them again Mr. Giles you have lying crooks working for you.

Dustin we checked with the technician that performed teh 56 point inspection and he confirms that he in fact he changed the oil on the Mustang you purchased from us. We also reached out to you and asked that you bring your vehicle in so that we could inspect the oil. We set up several appointments with you and unfortunately you did not show for any. We are comited to prividing high quaility service and stand behind every vehicle we sell. We as all companies do make mistakes, but i can assure you, if we are given the opportunity to make it right, we always will. We also give a freee Lifetime Powertrain warranty up to 100,000 miles from manufacture on every pre-owned vehicle we sell, and I also guarantee that if it's not the best vehicle you have ever owened that you can bring it back and exchange it. (within 5 days or 1,000 milles) No other dealer in Acadiana offers either. Giles Subaru has won the J D Powers Dealer of Excellence 5 years in a row, which is a testament to our dedication to customer satisfaction and ethical business practices. Sincerly, Bob Giles

Giles Nissan has failed to fix my 2021 Versa. In a matter of 45 days, the car has been in and out of the shop for the same issue. On July 21, the car was picked up and brought back an hour later for the 5th time for the exact same reason as the previous 4 times. According to LA R.S 51, this matter qualified under the Louisiana Lemon Law however Nissan is refusing to replace or repurchase the vehicle. And instead of providing a resolution, I was instead directed to file a complaint with the BBB.

We certainly apologize for the time it took to find the cause and make the repair. In your vehicle's case the cuase of the overheating was a unusual issue that was very difulcult to diagnose. Our technician contacted the Subaru tech line for assistance and with their assistance we determined that it was a bad wiring harness that was causing the cooling fan to not come on. We replaced the wiring harness under warranty on August 11, 2023 and that succesfuly corrected the issue. Again i apologize for the time it took for us to properly diagnose the cause and correct the issue. It is very rare for something like this to happen, but it does happen, and we will always, given the opportunity get it fixed. We also provided a new Subaru loaner for you to drive at no charge while your vehicle was in the shop. I understand that while that is convenient, it is never convenient to have a mechanical issue that takes a long time to diagnose and repari. Thanks for your understanding, Bob Giles
