  Mr. Charles and his crew created me a back patio. He was very professional. I gave him my deposit and signed my contract, with a promise to pay immediately once the job was done. I decided to change the design of it, at the last minute, but he was very understanding and made it a little wider as a courtesy without charging me. I would use him again and refer him to anyone who wanted a professional job done.

  We hired this company to pour a patio behind our home. The day the concrete was poured, Kenneth Charles showed up at our home to collect his money. The job was not complete because he had not removed the forms and there was a large container of excess concrete in our front yard. I was at home and had been sick for a year—my husband was at work. Mr. Charles was very bullying and insistent on collecting his money immediately. I reviewed the invoice and noted that one of our deposits was not reflected. There were numerous checks written to Mr. Charles during the job because he came back almost daily asking for additional funds. When I asked him about the amount that was not reflected in the invoice he said it had been deducted and just wasn’t listed. My husband then asked him for details on the cost of materials and labor which he refused to provide so it was impossible to determine whether we were fairly charged and whether our $1400 deposit was ever credited to our invoice. Later, when we pointed out to him that he had not completed the job and the forms were still in place and the concrete waste container was still in our front yard, he sent one employee on a motorcycle to pull up some of the forms but he left others and dumped all of the forming materials behind our fence on city property where they still remain. He also charged us $816 for concrete paint which was never delivered. We took him to court and the judge ordered that he pay us the $816 or at the very least deliver the paint. Also he was ordered to clean up the forming materials. He has failed to do either. We are pursuing our judgment against him. Never again will we do business with this individual. Also we are over 60 years old and we appear to be a demographic that he targets. Beware.
