      I went to see my nurse practitioner, Patrice ******, for the results of my blood work for my annual exam covered by Medicare. When I arrived, I was told my appointment would be done via telemed in the exam room and a practitioner I did not know and did not agree to see showed up on the screen to simply read my lab results. A few days later I received a $330 bill from MinuteMed (not the clinic I was at) for this visit even though this whole visit was supposed to be my no-cost annual exam. When I tried contacting Patrice ******'s office they told me minute Med would be calling me back about the bill, and they never returned the call or adjusted my bill.

      After speaking with the nurse for Patrice ****** patient was made aware that Patrice ****** was no longer employed with the clinic at southside Medical. Minute Med agreed to take care of the patients until she was replaced by another nurse practitioner which all the patients were notified and agreed to have results given by minute med providers or the patients could pick up their results and find another primary care provider. Minute Med clinic was not aware this visit was for annual wellness exam which is paid fully by the insurance company. Minute Med did not receive a call from the patient in regard to the bill that was received. I will have our billing company adjust the bill for the patient and contact his insurance company to make sure the billing is done as an annual wellness visit and not a visit for lab results. This issue with billing will be corrected for the patient.
