    I brought my $2500 electronic musical instrument to ACT Electronics for repair (this business was listed as a designated Yamaha repair service center). I Was charged $825 for a new motherboard replacement and he provided no proof of a new one ordered. He called to say repair was complete. I got it home and turned the unit on, it wasn't working properly. Brought it back again, and once again he said repairs were complete. It is not working, and is useless to me. He will not answer my calls now. He demanded Cash payment also. Normally I make payments with a Credit Card. I have already paid cash and now there is no way to recoop my funds for his irresponsible/devious business practices. I had to purchase a new Unit because I can't do my job without it. Now I am out $5000 because of the unrepaired unit and the purchase of a new one. Please help.

    Customer has a jump drive that will not work with the new board (probably corrupted data). I took his jump drive to **** ******* ***** on Prien Lake Rd, it would only work on one of the 5 Yamaha keyboards in the music store. They agreed that he has a faulty jump drive. I checked the keyboard when I had it and could not find a problem. I could not transfer any files from his jump drive to my computer so as to make a replacement. Yamaha called a few days later asking about this. I explained about the jump drive, Their response was " he didn't tell us about this" They also agreed he has a defective jump drive.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I am in contact with both **** ******* ***** on Prien Lake Rd.in Lake Charles, La that he claimed to bring the jump drive to & Yamaha.  I want proof of who he spoke with at each **** ******* ***** and Yamaha and what was the outcome (needs to be a document sent from them, not just hear say from the repair man)  Also need proof of purchase of the Digital Board that he claimed to buy and replace.

    If the jump drive works in the newly purchased keyboard I had to buy and also in One out of 5 at the music store, THAT MEANS THE JUMP DRIVE IS NOT CORRUPT!!!    If it only works in one keyboard at the music store, that means IT WORKED SUCESSFULLY ON THEY KEBOARD THAT WAS COMPATIBLE WITH MINE!!!!    Even if I had a new jump drive, when you try to push the button to choose internal options, it doesn't work  It does nothing.  There is an internal contact defect due to the repair mans neglect or not really knowing what he is doing.  The unit is worthless for anyone that wants to use any type of saved songs or data.
