      On September 12, 2024 I had Johnson Tree Services remove a large dead oak tree in front of my home. During the removal, they dropped a log on my house and damaged the roof, which is metal. They provided me with a receipt stating that yes, they are at fault for this incident and yes, they will come back that week to fix it. They removed the damaged metal pieces. They did not come back again. I have communicated with the business owner weekly since the incident and he continued to put off fixing the damage. I attempted to help, with their approval, by getting several estimates on the price to fix the damage. They were paid in full for the removal of the tree, I withheld no money, trusting they would come back. They have ignored all attempts to communicate for weeks now and the damage continues to get worse as rain soaks into the roof and birds remove insulation. I asked if they would give back the metal pieces they took and cash in order for me to hire a contractor to fix this myself, and they ignored this request too.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Due to no response from the business for a month, I hired a contractor to fix the issue and have had it fixed at a cost of $600. I will accept a $400 compensation and consider the issue resolved.
