They came out to my home 9/24/24 and said the ******** (Control) was bad. I paid them $189.00 by credit card. They advised me I needed to pay $505.00 to order the part and $505.00 when job was complete. I paid them the $505.00 by credit card. Part came in and did not fix my generator. The mechanic said he did not know what was wrong with my generator. I called the office and they said I would have to use the $505,00 towards a new generator, which I cannot afford. I had another company (***********) look at the generator and they said it was the Sensor and not the ********. I called ********* and said it was not the part that they ordered. The mechanic made an error. They said they would keep $300 and refund me the rest. I said it was the wrong part and I should not be charged anything. Then in error they charged me another $505. I called them and they said they have sent me a check minus $250.00 for the part. I told them it was their error that the wrong part was ordered. They said that is their policy. I should be given my $250.00 back.

We have refunded Mr. *********** the amount back for all of our labor that was put forth on this project.  Mr. *********** was well aware of the non-refundable part, which is the only money that he hasn't been give back to this point.  He has accepted our check for the full refund, minus the non refundable part.  Mr. *********** also doesn't inform you about how he had multiple companies out working on his machine and therefore we could not be positive what was done by others as well.  We felt it was in the best interest of both the client and company to move in different directions and we repaid him our labor and took the loss. He was very quick to threaten our office with retaliation of slander by contacting the Better Business Bureau, Generac, and various social media platforms, as well as stating he would tell his neighbors not to utilize our service any longer.  We have been in contact with Generac corporate about this matter and are cooperating with them.  Mr. ************* generator is currently installed in a location that does not meet the code requirements and we informed him of such and recommended repositioning of existing or new generator.  I will be better able to respond to Mr. *********** once Generac has gone through their investigation.  We did not appreciate the threats Mr. *********** was making towards us about slandering us to anyone whom would listen.

      Thanks,
      *********

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and will not pursue this matter. However just to get the facts correct. ********* stated in their response that I had "multiple companies out working on his machine". I had one and only one and that was only after their mechanic stated  "I do not know what is wrong with your Generator". That Company was ************. The Only other company to look at my Generator. I told them I would have to contact the Better Business Bureau and others only to try and get my $250 back. However if they wish to keep my $250.00 ,  I will not pursue this matter any more.

      Regards,

On March 1, 2023 ********* came out as my cooling unit was not cooling in the upstairs unit of which I have a tenant. They came out four times with four different technicians over the course of two weeks. They said they ordered the control boards and would call when they arrived. With must frustration as my tenant could not stay in the space, I called MacCleans A/C. They checked to see if the control boards were ordered by ********* and they were not ordered, but were in stock at the Elmwood store. They came out with the control boards and said the unit was low on Freon and in twenty minutes the unit was operable and they returned the control boards to the vendor.

In response to *********************** complaint,  her bill, which she has not paid, will be zeroed out and we will send her a copy showing the invoice has been null and void.  As for the sequence of events, our diagnosis was determined with tech support, the boards were ordered on 03/03/2023 and they were picked up on 03/15/2023 when they arrived.  When we received the boards and called her to come out and replace, she informed us that she didn't want us to come out any longer.  I've attached a copy of the ship ticket from the supply house showing the day it was ordered and the day it was delivered.  I've also attached a picture of the control boards which are sitting in my shop and some of which cannot be returned for credit. Furthermore, I have a hard time believing the unit was simply low on Freon, as we believe the second company most likely bypassed the cooling board in order to get the compressor to run.  We also replaced the condenser fan motor which was bad and she approved and has not paid for.  We aren't asking for any information, just simply want to put the full story out there.  We communicated every step to **************, as you see can, she has provided you with an abundance of information.  We strive to do things right and take care of our customers.  We hope ************** finds the resolution that is right for her and if we can be of service to her in the future, we would gladly do so. Should you need anything further, please do not hesitate to reach out.  ...
