I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]  This is not a reasonable answer.  I did not repeatedly call and harass.  The caller repeatedly hung up on my husband.  I would like the complaint to stay on record.  I will be sure not to recommend this business to family and friends.

    Regards,

    **** *****

hung up on me. I think the prices are way out of line and customer service is severely lacking. I do not even think the clock was ever taken apart and examined. I would appreciate my $65.00 refunded.

Hello, this is Southshore Clocks & Watches..  I'm responding to a customer complaint.  My name is **** ********, owner of Southshore.  Starting off, our procedure here at Southshore regarding clock & watch repair is as follows..   When a customer comes into our shop / store with a timepiece, we, as store policy states, charge an estimate fee to take in the timepiece..  The estimate fee is for checking in the timepiece, logging in the timepiece, for our repairman or repair woman's time to evaluate the timepiece.. As noted, our Counter Clerks & Repair Techs do not work for free. This is why we charge an estimate fee, for time and afford checking out all timepieces. Every customer that brings in a timepiece is charged an estimate fee, conditioned to the type of clock brought in..  The Customer that sent in the complaint to your company was charged for a Cuckoo Clock estimate fee..   After my technician's evaluation, which entails taking the clock apart, testing the gear system, testing the pulleys, testing the lift levers, testing the bushing etc.. The estimate was in accordance with our experience and expertise.. I have been repairing Watches & Clocks for over 31 years now.  We have thousands of satisfied customers.. As for this customer complaining about the cost of the repair, in my opinion she is not up to date with today's current  pricing or maybe she is stuck back in time as to how much things have changed..  She is upset because she is not willing to get her clock fixed or maybe she can not afford to get the clocks fixed. And now she wants her estimate fee back.. As for the customer saying we kept hanging on her & her husband, well they kept calling and to me, harassing me and my employees demanding their money back.. Which I told them was for service rendered    Last comments: I do not work for free, my employees do not work for free, I do not work out of my garage.  This is a real business that treats all customers the same..  Whomever is reading this, I thank you for your time..  Have a blessed day..  cc; **** Ehrhardt  ************ call anytime..
